St Albans Courthouse & Homestead

We stayed at the homestead with friends over the new years. What an amazing place to get away from it all! The accommodation was amazing and the extra space and ensuites to all rooms was an added bonus. The swimming pool was quite large and the kids certainly enjoyed it. The hosts are amazing too. I forgot some valuables while checking out and Kate sent them via express post!! Will definitely book again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Homestead! The location and views are incredible, so peaceful. We enjoyed immersing ourselves in the local history and how significant the Homestead and Courthouse are to that. Rob & Kate were wonderful hosts, they went above and beyond and made the whole family feel very welcome. Will definitely be back.

What a fabulous weekend, not far from Sydney to drive and such a special place. The courthouse fits a couple of families - great facilities to cook up a BBQ. The pool is amazing and refreshing - couldn't get the kids out of it! The village and surrounding area is great for bush walks, tennis and fun on the river beach. There's even a rope swing not far out of the village. Magical getaway to suit all the family (including our dog!) - we can't wait for our next visit. Thank Rob & Kate and family

Amazing historic stay in a stunning location with great views over the River. Great hosts in Rob and Kate and the Courthouse has been lovingly restored with the old cells now bathrooms. The Settlers Arms is a must visit for dinner and drinks and only a 5 minute walk. Thanks for a great stay. We will be back soon!

Amazing location and great accommodation. Incredible views down to the river, where families can picnic on the freshwater sands and have a relaxing swim. Such an incredible getaway - I wish we could have spent longer there! The hosts are super easygoing and made our stay a breeze and even more relaxing than we expected!

This is such a beautiful place and a perfect weekend getaway. It was clean with everything to make you feel at home. We relaxed around the open fire, read books in the outdoor terrace and the unique old jail sell bathrooms with old baths where you could sit and chat to each other while having a nice warm bath was lovely. We slept so well in the ornate room we used. The view through the valley was so beautiful in the winter afternoon sun watching the sky reflect on the river below. Kate, the owner was very warm and accomodating - I highly recommend this place for families, couples and anyone who needs a truly relaxing break. Shhh... don’t tell anyone.

We had a wedding to attend in the area and our accommodation at the Courthouse homestead was wonderful. We shared with other guests invited to the wedding and found all the facilities to be terrific. It was very hot outside but the air conditioning gave welcome relief while getting ready for the wedding. Lovely place, we were made to feel very welcome , and the breakfast provided was suitable. Thanks Kate and Rob!

St Albans Courthouse is nestled in a magical pocket of the Hawkesbury. Kate and Rob are phenomenal hosts - they're wonderful, warm and entertaining.
I was very lucky to do a few hikes with Kate while we were there, one of the most memorable was the Convict Trail.
The children adored playing with Kate & Robs kids as well as the dogs, goats and chickens.
It would be impossible to tire of the views from the Courthouse. We can't wait to go back.

We by chance met Kate and Rob and they showed us great hospitality. They invited us to stay in the courthouse and we had such a lovely night and stay. It is rustic, and lovely. It has a great relaxed feel, and we felt instantly at home. Go stay, it's not the Hyatt, but it's cool!!!

Wow! What a place, the views are incredible. Home away from home. Love the pool, love the bathrooms in the jail cells, love the tennis courts just a short walk away, loads of great walks for the kids and the dogs. Great place to hang out with friends. We will totally be back!

We booked out all of the accommodation available at the courthouse as a get together with family and we couldn’t have had a better time. The scenery was unbelievable, the accomodation was 5 star and the hospitality was second to none. Rob and Kate were brilliant hosts.
I would highly recommend this accomodation.

Such a magical place! We've stayed numerous times at both the Court House and Homestead, and even had an extended family Christmas there last year. The kids loved all the animals and the adults loved the peace! Highly recommend.

An ideal family home for our getaway, super close to Sydney yet far enough to get a nice tranquil getaway! Character filled home, with pool and ideal for a mixed group. Thanks for having us!

Had a fantastic time at The Courthouse over this scorching hot weekend. Amazing sandstone building with lots of heritage and modern amenities. Spent a great deal of time in the pool. Highly recommended.
