We had such a great experience doing a beekeeping taster course with Mt. Coramba Apiculture. Glenn has a great teaching style and adapted the flow of the day to any questions we had arise and his wealth of knowledge and passion for beekeeping really rubbed off on us. From being absolute beginner beekeepers, we walked away feeling excited and confident about setting up our backyard hive and looking after our bees. Looking forward to learning further from Glenn once we are up and running and have a million more questions. Very highly recommended!!

I did a one day beekeeping workshop at Mt. Coramba yesterday. If you're new to beekeeping there are thousands of hours of video you can watch on the Internet to get you started but in only 7 hours with Glenn I got the tuition and hands-on experience I needed to give me the confidence to buy a hive and start my beekeeping journey. His knowledge, professional experience and enthusiasm are inspiring. He's an open-minded advocate of old and new technologies & approaches to beekeeping and keeps the focus on the benefits to the bees. I had an amazing and very affordable day in some of the most beautiful countryside I've seen. By the way, if you get to taste his honey you'll probably sell your hive, hang up your beekeeping suit and just buy it directly from him .. its divine!

We had an all day introduction to beekeeping. Glenn is relaxed and knowledgeable and covered all aspects. Having a large number of hives is useful as we saw hives at all stages from missing queens to swarming, needing space to expand or consolidating and removing space. We enjoyed the day and can recommend the training we got to other new beekeepers.

Just finished with a workshop at Mt. Coramba Apiculture. The experience was excellent! Glenn who runs the workshop has decades of experience and a wealth of knowledge which really shines through. The workshop was very hands on and tailored to my level of experience. I've walked away feeling confident that I can handle my hive and manage any issues that come up. Highly recommended!

I recently spent the day with Glenn to learn some skills and get started bee keeping. I had a great time and learned a heap of practical skills. Glenn was a fantastic resource who happily answered all of my questions. If you're thinking about getting some bees of your own, then I highly recommend Glenn's course.

Glenn recently audited our labels for our new honey products. He was very efficient and quick with providing recommendations for us to implement on our labels. I have no hesitation in recommending Glenn as a very knowledgeable and honest person to deal with. The price he charges is extremely fair.

Orara Valley Raw Honey is the best honey we have tasted out of many different honeys in the market, even more expensive organic raw honey.
We were drawn to this honey and wanted to try it after viewing Glenn's website and how the honey is extracted. We will continue ordering this delicious honey, thank you Glenn!

I recently spent a day with Glenn at Mt Coramba Apiculture doing the beginners beekeeping course. After doing the course I can say that it is essential if you are thinking of starting with Bees. The course was very hands on and Glenn's experience and straight forward approach is extremely helpful. I have come away confident that I have sufficient knowledge to start beekeeping.

Recently my Wife Julie and I purchased a Flowhive from Honeyflow, but had no experience with Beekeeping at all. We found Glenn Locke's website and were impressed with his background and years of experience, so in September we booked a day with him at the Orara Valley.
The day was so knowledgeable, we started at the very beginning covering all the basics and progressively throughout the day, learnt all about Bee Husbandry and Bee Fundamentals.
At the end of the day we asked Glenn if he could supply us with a "Nuc" as we felt very comfortable that the knowledge Glenn shared with us during the day we were ready to take the first step in Beekeeping.
After collecting the "Nuc" and setting our hive up, the experience with Glenn made the transition so easy (with a touch of trepidation).
Having spent close on 3 months with our new hive (which has now morphed into 3) we decided to spend another day with Glenn to build on the knowledge he had shared with us, as we are learning that Beekeeping is a journey with so much information still to be learned.
Glenn is an outstanding Educator and Mentor, he has made our move to Beekeeping, smooth, enjoyable and above all fruitful.
Since our purchase of the "Nuc" from Glenn, we have harvested 6 kg of beautiful capped honey.
Thanks Glenn

I recently did the one day course with Glen, and what he doesn't know about his bees isn't worth knowing. His enthusiasm is infectious, and left me with a much deeper appreciation of bees. Glen also supplied me with a Nuc hive, and the bees have settled in beautifully. Even my kids have their own bee suits now, and would spend all day just watching the bees come and go if I let them. Highly recommended.

Glen provided a course that was a wonderful experience and gave me the confidence to begin beekeeping. Being a complete novice he went through all the basics then gave me plenty of practice managing the hives and answering my questions. Highly recommended!

As a new beekeeper with a few years under my belt I had plateaued somewhat and felt I needed to increase my knowledge in a few areas. A one on one with Glenn was the perfect way to do that. From the minute we started I was learning and by the end of the day I had learned so much more and felt a lot more confident to start thinking about requeening, hive splits, disease issues and just handling hives with more confidence. Highly recommend.

Mt Coramba Apiculture is a fantastic supplier of Raw Honey in Coffs Harbour. It’s great to be able to buy raw Coffs Harbour honey off a local apiarist with the knowledge and commitment to producing a great quality product. These guys put their whole heart into what they are producing and it really shows.
