Retreat at Wisemans

Top spot for an overnight or a weekend away. A bit long in the tooth (no doubt the result of Covid), but consider staying here so they can make some money and tidy up the place. (PS hope they don't put the prices up like toooo many other places have)

Beautiful resort , The staff were so polite especially Jackie (sorry if I spelt her name wrong). Totally customer focussed. Great view of the lake from our room and balcony, She gave us a room that was very practical as we had a pram and an adjoining room for our teenage sons.
Will definitely visit again!!!

Also has a great pool, volleyball & tennis court and located just opposite the bowling club and cafe.

Nice place to stay in a little town on the river. The staff are brilliant, the room had excellent cool air-con & the shower was great with plenty of pressure. There’s a big swimming pool plus the bowling club, cafe & pub are just across the road. The golf course isn’t of a high standard but ok for a casual hit. Wisemans Ferry is small & out of the way but very good for a relaxing getaway.

Love this place for a quick getaway from Sydney...travel distance is perfect for overnight...the amenities, rooms are very clean and well presented.. and staff are genuine and very helpful...can sit on the back verandah and watch families enjoying the beautiful pool with the hawksbury River in the background

It’s quite and kids friendly picnics place. Local coffee shop and all primary things accessible around here. It’s near water so good for fishing. Well equipped with all kids play ground equipments. Very open space. Quite enough open space available for parking.

Awesome place with great facilities such as tennis courts, a pool and a restaurant. The staff are friendly and always happy to help you. Since the area is small you can easily walk to the nearby park and markets. There are beautiful landscapes all around! A great getaway!

A lovely peaceful stay. We met the staff Jacki from reception who was lovely and very welcoming, we also met Dawn maree and Aron who were lovely and very helpfull. Nothing was a problem We will definitely be back. Thankyou for a great weekend stay.

This is our second stay with them . We stayed here last year during Christmas holidays ( had the whole joint to ourselves ) and absolutely loved it. Jacki and her staff were helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Came for a wedding and was blown away by the serenity of the place. You just felt good. The perfect spot for a mini relaxing getaway and definitely a prime spot for weddings. Just beautiful.

Resort is amazing, we had our wedding ceremony and reception here. Staff are super friendly and food was amazing. Beds were comfy and the unit had everything you could need.

Never thought such a nice place existed so close to the city.. Very beautiful kids' Park, good amount of trees to provide shade and a beautiful river to sum it all up.. Must visit!

Best place for family fun and time out together. Mesmerizing views and open plane park is good enough for spending the day out there with family and friends. Highly recommend this place to visit at least once.

My daughter was married and her reception held at Retreat at Wisemans in March. What a wonderful experience, one which I will never forget. Barry, Kath and all the staff were superb. Despite a sudden storm and wardrobe malfunction everything went smoothly for the bride and groom and all the guests. The food was delicious and the rooms clean and very comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I have no hesitation in recommending the Retreat to anyone thinking of a wedding or simply enjoying a few days at Wiseman's Ferry....you will not be disappointed!

Great customer service and the breakfast was fantastic. Nice tidy rooms that are reasonably updated. Only minor issue I can say is that the car park could have had more spaces.

Had a lot of kebabs from the area friend recommended these n I must say they are the best I've had . Delivered hot sauce in pots instead of thrown allover quick delivery and very pleasant people would highly recommend

I am getting married here at the retreat tomorrow and arrive today to stay in the bridal sweet. Staff have been more than helpful and it has been such a pleasurable experience cant wait to wake up and get my wedding day started.

Went with a group to play our annual game of Golf. Had a great time with not too many people on the course. Very well priced and great for a day of fun by the river.

Excellency quiet spot. Picturesque setting. Lovely to have a light meal and a beer overlooking the Hawkesbury river. Nice area for kids tho ruin as well.

As a group we decided to leave busy Sydney and relax. Forgotten s valley wisemans has 3 cottages, with 3 rooms each. Each room has 2 single beds. There is also a conference room, which has 3 rooms at the back as well. These buildings accommodated us perfectly. The 3 cottages have kitchens, which also includes microwaves and fridges. Also the scenery is amazing and quite peaceful. If you want a get away as a group, forgotten valley Wiseman s retreat is a place to go.

Stayed for a wedding and had a great time! Room was spacious and clean and had a great view of the pool and river. The wedding was fantastic, perfect for both the ceremony and reception.
