Sheffield Visitor Information Centre

Beautiful information center with lovely and welcoming staff. Sheffield is known for it's murals and the information center has walls painted with the Australian way of life and wildlife.
Staff explained that painters come from all over the world.
A must stop and spend at least a few hours.
Sheffield and surrounds can be explored leisurely as well. Lots to do around.

Stepping into the Tourist Information centre at Sheffield was a surprising and informative delight. It was lovely to receive friendly, personal and personalised advice from the Tourist Officer. You can't get this type of service online. We particularly enjoyed the sculptures on Henry Street - a little quirky.

Lots to see. Very clean and tidy. The staff were busy. However, they were very friendly and helpful and happy to answer any questions. $1 hot showers, just ask the staff to unlock the door. Plus toilets

Explored the beautiful town of Sheffield today and witnessed the artistry of the multiple murals around the town with the phenomenal backdrop of Mount Roland dominating the landscape. Had pies at the local pie shop which was very busy but the staff were efficient and friendly.

Cat, Tracey and Paul were really helpful and went the extra mile in helping my friend and I who were lost from our Tour Tasmania cradle mountain tour. Cat and Tracey relentlessly called the tour group for us. Paul personally drove us to the cradle mountain lodge and guided us on how to take the shuttle bus. We managed to catch the view of cradle mountain thanks to the 3 of them angels!

Amazing staff who were super helpful! Thanks heaps!!!! Lovely clean and tidy centre, lots for the tourists to see and pick up brochures on attractions etc!

A very beautiful town. Full of art murals everywhere, visitor centre, park, restaurants, shops, motels.
This is a small town but it has everything that you need.

The painting walls are awesome, you could also find the Hong Kong superstar - Eason’s painting there

Heidi at the information centre was amazing and went above and beyond to help us. Wouldn’t have been able to get through our trip without her! She was knowledgeable about the area and very friendly.

Beautiful town for a walk

Sheffield is absolutely amazing for its murals. There is a newly developed self-guided audio walk which introduces 40+ murals in town. If you like to experience the town and its world famous murals with a little help of tech, check out the "Cya On The Road" app from App Store or Google Play, search for "Sheffield" and begin your explorations whenever you are ready at your own pace!

A nice place with heaps of brochures and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. An art gallery is also located inside. Toilets 🚻 and enough parking, very close to High Street. If you are not too sure about what to plan in Tasmania, go see the lovely staff there

Great friendly place to pick up some useful information. Nice and warm in winter to hide away for an hour. Plenty of parking and public toilets.

Sheffield town is very unique in nature, entire town has lot of street paintings in and around and particularly near Information Center where you can see 20+ great paintings. No other town in the world has these varieties of natural paintings..it’s in the way to Cradle mountains..

Hot showers during opening hours if you're camping/vanning $1 coins per three minutes staff are friendly and knowledgeable of local tourist attractions. And you can also fill up water bottles

One of the best visitors centres I've ever been to. There is local art, and really good souvenirs in store. The workers are really friendly.
