We had a great experience camping at Flanagan Reserve. We have never been camping before, so we were winging it as we were going, but management made it very easy. The park is clean and tidy, amenities are well maintained - toilets, showers, outdoor sinks, and PowerPoint's to charge devices. There are fire pits at each site, and firewood is sold by the wheelbarrow for $20. Overall, it was a great time, super quiet, and everyone was really respectful. Highly recommend 👍

Great spot. Staff friendly at check in. Facilities clean. Place is looking great after some rain. Hills are much greener.

What a lovely relaxing place! Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Bird whistles and the running creek water made for a peaceful backdrop. Not packed in. A little on the dusty side, but other than that, a great spot for kids to ride their bikes and play in the creek. A top weekend! We'll be back!

Hey folks,

I've just camped at Flanagan Reserve Bush Camping, and let me tell you, it's a solid five-star spot!

First things first, this place is totally dog-friendly. Whether your fur buddy is a giant goofball or a pint-sized cutie, there's loads of room for them to roam free.

Now, I was a bit sceptical when I saw how close the campsites were to each other. But guess what? During my stay, fellow campers were surprisingly cool about giving each other space. So, even during peak times, it felt super laid-back.

And the views? Seriously, jaw-dropping! Whether you snag a spot by the creek or closer to the paddock, you're in for some Insta-worthy scenery.

Amenities. Showers here are an absolute steal at just 20 cents for a minute. Toss in a dollar, and you've got yourself a luxurious five-minute shower – more than enough time to scrub off the day's adventures.

Now, let's get eco-conscious for a sec. They've got this strict 8 km/h speed limit, which keeps the dust from cars to a minimum. Smart move for a dust-free camping zone.

But my all-time favourite thing? Those campfire wheelbarrows. For just 20 bucks, you get a wheelbarrow loaded with wood that burns hot and slow. Perfect for those cosy nights by the fire.

Now, onto the downside, which has nothing to do with the park itself but fellow campers. Down by the creek, I noticed that some families didn't properly monitor their little ones, resulting in a bit of a mess. I found myself picking up juice boxes, cans, ring pulls, plastic straw casings, and the odd wrapper. It's a small but disappointing aspect of an otherwise wonderful camping experience. My message to future campers is simple: Be mindful of your own rubbish. Let's all do our part to ensure these beautiful places remain open and unspoiled.

The reserve is friendly too:

So, in a nutshell, Flanagan Reserve Bush Camping is a rad spot for outdoor enthusiasts and dog lovers. With killer views, wallet-friendly amenities, and those awesome campfire wheelbarrows, it's a one-of-a-kind escape. Remember to clean up after yourselves and keep this place epic for everyone!

Arrived home today from Flanagan reserve and really loved the spot they have there. Trevor was very welcoming and the facilities were suitable. The creek one side and the running Hills on the other make for a great spot for all. I'm sure all that visit will enjoy your stay as much as we did. Dogs are welcome with well maintained toilet and shower facilities. The showers only take 20c per minute but they are hot which is great for the end of the day.

New to this place but we have visited twice in a month and we really enjoy it. Spot for everyone and anyone (you don't need to camp on top of each other unless you're a jerk 😉) they have everything. We aren't used to camping in such style. Animals everywhere, super close hikes (sorry for the 2am drive outs) beautiful sunsets. Bargain Firewood avail there as well as Toilets and showers everything you could need and more.
Lots of dogs so very dog friendly.
Can't wait to go back

What a find!
The staff are very welcoming and the area by the river is very relaxing.
The showers and toilets are very clean, although I'm worried there might not be enough of them at busy times.
I stayed for 2 nights midweek and slept by the river's edge overlooking Mt Barnie. It's very peaceful falling asleep to the sound of the river.
All the grounds are very well maintained, even the drive into the reserve is well maintained and suitable for small cars.
I will be back again for sure and would highly recommend Flanagan's reserve to anyone.

I didn't know what to expect. I'm a multi day hiker and used to secluded camping. Flannagan's was spectacular. The scenery was stunning and honestly I was stunned by the respectful nature of the other campers. No loud music or conversations. It was so relaxing I'll be going back

Love this place. Gerard and Juanita do a top job at running this place. Good prices and tidy. Friendly atmosphere, I bought my big dog with me, and she was accepted happily. The river is beautiful and clean! Spacious and not packed in like other places. They like visitor's to enjoy their stay and have lots of room to enjoy. Nice and peaceful, star gazing at night is amazing. Stunning mountain views! Hot showers 20c a minute. Our family of 6 (including the dog) will definitely be back. We have found our camping place.

Great camping ground, beautiful spot. Manager's are very welcoming. Lots of firewood to buy off them. Quiet at night, no music allowed after 8pm. Beautiful creek. The only downfall is the toilet block, only 1 shower & 2 toilets to accommodate that size of park. There were portaloos out the back but for some reason lots were locked. Does have a dump point if you take your own toilet. Other than that it's a great spot. Will be back.

An absolutely sensational location for a camping park right on the Logan River, with views of Mount Maroon. Perfect for swimming, relaxing, bushwalking and having a firepit.

The cleaners do a great job. Every morning they literally sterilize the showers and toilets.
Staff are friendly and helpful. The little shop has most of what you may forget. Sells ice, firewood, lpg, ice cream etc. Hot water showers. Drinking water on tap. Clean grounds, the camping area is quite big so you can have your own private area. You can stay on either the Riverside or land side- I prefer the land side as most go to the Riverside. You can still hear the river from anywhere on the grounds. Heaps of trees. Mostly flat. There are fish in the river but I think they have had How not to get caught training :-)
My 5th time here, I visit once a year during winter. Well worth it.

Camped at Flanagans Reserve back in February. It was a great experience with many like minded campers but not too crowded. Mount Barney, Lake Maroon, Boonah and The Waterfalls are all nearby and are worth checking out as well. Showers, toilets, firewood etc all on site by the great managers there.

Flanagan's reserve is always a go to spot with family and loved ones. Price/ night is always affordable and the staff have always been incredibly kind and helpful. I've met some unforgettable people here and had some amazing experiences. Fireplaces on ea site and fire wood is available for purchase.
Flannagans is situated close to the 'Portals' and although it is a long walk, it is breathtaking! You really are captured by nature's beauty. The views at Flannagans is stunning and I don't think I'll ever get over it. The water/rapids are never to be missed, it's always cold but you leave energised, refreshed and clean.

Flannagans reserve never ceases to amaze me, it has my heart.

Camped here with my Son.
Great camping site.
Staff were great, knowledgeable & helpful.
Facilities were good, plenty of toilets, though there was only one shower for the men, I could have missed something though.
The creek looks great, would be awesome in summer time to swim in.
Wasn't too far of a drive from Brisbane either.

Just spent a long weekend at Flanagan’s Reserve. Friendly caretakers on arrival, informative and welcoming. We managed to secure a spot looking at the river and Mt Maroon - stunning! Sunrises were magic. Fees for the night were good - $10 per person, 20c per minute for showers. Facilities were simple but clean. Might be good to have another block of amenities (mainly showers) especially for the busier periods. Additional porta toilets were also available to use. Hopefully the area gets some good rain soon as it would be even more stunning. The campgrounds were dog friendly - dogs to be on a lead at all times and if going in the river - easy to do. Lovely birdlife and cattle across the river to add to the serenity! Worth the trip and we will be back!

Great place to get away for a few days. Staff are friendly. Place is clean and well maintained. So many good camping spots it's hard to choose. There are no powered sites so you need to be prepared for that Phone reception is a bit patchy but I kinda like that when I'm escaping the city. So many friendly doggos to pet and play with. Oh and the people were nice too. I definitely recommend this wonderful place.

Love coming here to get away but still close to home. Trevor and staff very friendly and nothing is to much of a problem if needed. Best hot showers to wash away those aches and pains. Grounds are always tidy, and plenty of Aussie wildlife. Overall one. can have a great get away at a reasonable price.
