Camera House - Twin City

The ONLY. Place in Adelaide I will go for my photography needs. I’ve bought a camera and lenses from them and recently took my camera in to check an issue which was done both immediately and thoroughly.
Could not ask for better customer service so they are my go to now. Can’t recommend highly enough ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is my first time visiting a camera shop to buy accessories for my camera. All I can say is the guys that served my (I think his name was Michael), is that they showed true passion for what they do. They were completely honest in that I am better to stay with my mobile phone (Samsubg S9+) for the macro shots I am doing with tiny mushrooms.

I then explained I love to take photos of sunsets at the beach and want to get into astro photography. They showed me some options on wide angle lenses without pressuring me into making any purchase at all. I had a very easy choice to walk out and not spend money, but now armed with knowledge of what lens I need to invest in at some stage.

I had $100 in my wallet from.a birthday present, and immediately put a deposit down on a lovely 82mm Sigma 10-20mm lens. I felt very relaxed as well as excited to know that I am purchasing a lens that will carry me a long way through my learning pathway to photography.

Fir that I am super grateful for their time and not just trying to be sales people to close every sale. This is now my absolute favourite place. I met a new person there today when I paid the canal installment on my camera, he was courteous and showed genuine interest. I was shown a beautiful filter as I explained I would love to capture waves at day time to have them really smooth out the motion. I didnt buy it this time round, but got the warmest smile as well as a very solid handshake to wish me well on my way to taking great photos.

This is my first really I'm depth review of a place, and delighted to do so.

I just wan to say how wonderful is this shop & the top customer service.
( Karina & Graeme). They helped me with the most challenge task with one and only available Lens in Australia at the moment, and sent from SA to WA to my door. I really really appreciate they way they handle the issue that I had and fix all the problem then make it happened. I highly recommended if you are looking for any camera gears, you must go and see these wonderful staff and get your best experience with them. Well done guys, I certainly will come back to get more gears from you again soon.

Great shop with super helpful and friendly staff. Needed "that" cable for a older Nikon camera as mum left it at home and couldn't charge it. The lovely staff turned the shop upside down to find one with "that" connector. Just great. Saved the day.

I really like when stores are happy to open up boxes and show how well their products work.

While I was looking at lights and light stands, I asked if they can fix dust on the inside of my lens. And while I was looking at things to buy, they were helping me out with my lens on the spot.

This kind of customer service is what helps with buying local. Sure maybe it's a little bit more expensive than interstate. However the customer service bridged that gap yesterday.

I have been shopping at Camera House for several years now. As a professional photographer I need to rely on a local store that can not only order things when needed but also have stock on hand should I need something urgently. Tom at Camera House always looks after me, is very knowledgable and is an all round great guy! I would not shop anywhere else, highly recommend.

Late review, but the last time I went to the shop was 6 months ago but I got a Sony 1.4x teleconverter, and before that purchased a Sony 24-105mm lens, the staff were really helpful. I had to come back to write this review because I remembered how nice the guy I talked to was which may had been the owner.

Recently visited shop & had great personal service & advice from Graeme who took the time to focus on my needs with an existing 12 year old Canon eos450 dslr & lense - as opposed to 'selling' us something (which we did anyway in the end).
I have had dealings with many camera shops/staff throughout Australia over the past 50 years & it was a very pleasant surprise to experience Graemes thoughtful attention -- cant recommend highly enough if you want to talk with someone knowledgeable. I will certainly be going back for all my future camera gear needs.

Recently I tried my hand at some astrophotography and was dismayed to find unwanted spots on all the images I took using a Fuji X-T20 camera. I tried all the recommended sensor cleaning options and only succeeded in making matters worse. As a last resort I took the camera to Camera House and left it with their technician Ron. I am happy to report that not only was the sensor restored to pristine condition but as a bonus the entire camera had been meticulously cleaned.

Excellent customer service and very friendly staff members who are willing to help you find the right camera for your needs.

If you're into film and retro photography, this place should be your next shopping destination. They are always stocking some rare and highly sorted film cameras + they have a large selection of pre-own gear too (save your self some $$).

Prices are very competitive and they are always down to price match when ever possible.

Highly recommend coming here for your photographic and video needs.
