A great golf destination. Both courses offer a real challenge for every golfer. Choose the most appropriate tee. Don't play the back markers (black/terracotta) if you can't hit the ball a decent way and pretty straight a reasonable amount of time. You won't have a good time. Didn't try the short course. Seemed a bit pricey for 14 holes. Bring lots of balls as you will not likely find stray shots in the knee-high rough (they have a local rule which makes sense). Plenty of fun. Lots of good places to stay in Bridport if on-course is not available (what we did).

Another day, another World Top 100 golf course.
Today was the fantastic Barnbougle Dunes course. It was worth the wait. Not only was playing golf on the Dunes an experience in itself, but then walking off to the next tee only to be hit with these breathtaking views of Tasmania’s Anderson Bay. It is hard to beat!

Absolutely incredible golf course, million dollar views and plays well. Hotel and restaurants are very mediocre though- would recommend staying the night before you play only and getting food nearby in Bridport.

This place is simply insane and a true bucket list golf course that everyone must play.

Great golf courses. Very friendly staff. Wanted a vegetarian option for me and my wife. The young lad at the bar in the dunes clubhouse suggested I speak to the chef. She prepared a Thai style vegetable curry with rice . Exceptional

If you’re into golf, this is as good as it gets. Fortunate to have great weather while we were there.
Golf courses offer something for everyone and I would play there everyday for the rest of my life if I could.
Golf in Scotland at the St Andrew’s and Carnoustie are the only places I can imagine topping this experience for me.

Top golf course. Quite challenging from their Red tees for a B Grade player like me. (Black are hardest. Then red, then blue then white.)

I arrived a day earlier, stayed in one of the cottages and walked the course in the evening. I am glad I walked it because there are quite a few holes that are deceptive or play blind. And many fairways have many undulations with one or two flatter landing areas. Ball placement is key to a good score on this course. Walk it first if you have time!

There are not many bunkers but there are some enormous ones!!!

$149 for a round. No ride on carts. There are shower facilities at the Pro Shop.

The pro shop staff are friendly and helpful.

Two great courses. Weather was fantastic. Just a wonderful all round experience. Looking forward to going back in November (if the wife allows) 😀

No words to describe this place. It is the most stunning golf course i have ever played. Played earlier in the year with some mate and had stunning weather. I was lucky enough to get to play again with my family in December while Caravaning around Tasmania. Lost farm is my favourite course and Bougle run was a great course to give my 10 year old son the golfing bug. He loved.
Even if you aren't a golfer, just go and have a meal at the Lost Farm restaurant or a Pizza at the Lost farm bar.

What an absolutely stunning golf course. This is definitely a must-play for golf fans. Be warned. You will need to bring lots of spare golf balls as it’s nearly impossible to find your ball once it goes into the rough. However, the stunning coastal views makes it all worthwhile.
The club house has a great restaurant and on-course cabins are perfect for a golfing vacation. Will be back.

Barnbougle Dunes is a wonderful place to stay and the food there in the small restaurant is amazing, totally recommend it to all.
The Villa is so worth the price and right on the beach.
The Dunes golf course is both fun and challenging to get around and the views are superb.
If you are heading there take the time to say hello to Adam in the Golf shop, he is a great guy and his customer service is the best, he is a credit to Barnbougle.

I’m still thinking about the meal I had in the Barnbougle restaurant the next day (Salmon Thai Green Curry)!! Turned up with 3 kids without a booking for lunch on a Sunday, they looked after us and the service was amazing. Colouring in for the kids, amazing food and friendly staff. A beautiful experience, thank you!

Amazing golf course where you have to think your way around the course. Play the slopes and undulations like they do at Augusta. The views are just amazing.

Great place. Been twice, would keep coming back. A challenge when the wind gets up. Huge bunkers and greens. Amazing course. Accommodation and food is also pretty good

Incredible course only a little more than an hour out of Launceston. Super friendly service, big props to Phil who helped us out in the pro shop. Great meal at the restaurant up at Lost Farm. Would definitely recommend a visit here for golfers of all abilities.

This is my all time favourite golf course. Simply stunning views with difficult greens and tee off shots (from red+black tees) but anyone can play here. They also offer less difficult tee options. The white tees are a very good option if you're not confident off the tee. Similar to Lost Farms Barnbougle has stunning views of the bay and each hole has it's own unique identity this makes it for a very enjoyable experience. Can't wait to return. Tip: don't take on the bunker on the 4th hole
