Such an amazing country sourdough bakery. Beautiful bread and baked goods. Been here a number of times and you need to get in early to ensure you can get your fix. Will be back soon.

Great bakery. We had sausage roll, hot cross bun and carrot cake and they were all very tasty. Vibe was also good and staff was friendly.

I have a real spot for RedBeard, perhaps due to its delightful history in Trentham.

Whilst I usually pop in for their ‘to die for’ bread, on this visit I grabbed an orange basque cheesecake and an icedchocolate. Sublime!

Whilst the food needs no improvement (except maybe more bread so it never runs out and I’m never sad) I would love to see the staff smiling occasionally!!

Well worth the trip here for lunch. The Rueben’s sandwich was fantastic. The Sausage Roll really was one of the best we’ve ever had, and the Egg & Bacon pie hit the spot.
Can’t say enough about the pies and sandwich as they were great.
The Pastries were sweet and delicious.

This place has a 140 year old oven, well worth visiting

Went there over a friend's recommendation and didn't regret it for one bit. The cafe was simple and had a very welcoming atmosphere. By far the best mocha I've tasted in a while. Their food portions might look small but they do fill you up. Overall, Redbeard Cafe is a must-visit destination for bread and coffee lovers in the Melbourne area. Will definitely go there again.

What a great place to have brekkie / lunch when in Trentham. We drove here from Melbourne with friends just to enjoy the breakfast on weekend. 100% worth the trip for breakfast.

The place is pets friendly - they have a small area where u can leave them while you enjoy the meal. Ambiance of the place is sooo nice and cosy!
They had lots of vegetarian options which was great for us.
The sourdough bread are a must buy as they are soo good and freshly baked + they have plenty of different options 🤗

A fantastic bakery run by friendly staff. We had a sausage roll and a ratatouille quiche. Both delicious! Enjoyed it in their nice court yard, along with an almond plum cake and a vanilla slice. The vanilla slice was the best vanilla slice we’ve ever had! Asked the lady if they enter it in competitions. They don’t. Would win Best vanilla slice, hands down if they did. Looking forward to coming back.

A look into the past to see how a traditional wood fired bakery was run.
From savoury to sweet and all the sour dough bread you could ever want. We got a coffee and pie and it was well worth the drive to get here.

Lots of bread types coming straight out of the oven. The displayed items were delicious. We got treacle gingerbread and kill-a-brown-dog brownie, they were awesome.

They had amazing coffee and chai latte.

Definitely worth a visit!!

One of the best bakeries with the best Croque Monsieur I’ve had ever. Great to stop by after a nice walk at Trentham Falls!

Everything is so worth trying bc their pastry is made so buttery and flaky, but their filling is loaded with so much flavour. Highly recommend their vanilla slice, bacon egg quiche and sausage roll!

Coffee is okay but very cheap to keep you going in the early frosty morning of winter.

Called in to Trentham for the farmers market and stumbled upon this bakery, was an awesome find.
Had the Reubens Sandwich and the Vanilla Slice, they tasted so good.
They have inside seating and plenty of outdoor seating, plus there is a large park with seating area opposite as well.
A must visit if in the area!

A local gem that shines with their artisan sourdough products. A well maintained old establishment that produce sourdough masterpiece. Tried their pizza slices, croque monsiour and pear cake slice. Love at first bite. Beautiful flavour and top rank sourdough. Definitely worth every visit when passing Trentham or even special visit to the town.

It felt as if the time stood still in Trentham. What a beautiful little village, about an hour drive from Melbourne CBD.

I was first amazed to see the many ducks 🦆 waking in the streets, yes! in the streets 🥰.

And then I entered the Red Beard Historic Bakery 🍞, an enchanted tiny little bakery that is still using a SCOTCH OVEN, dating back to at least 1892.

I enjoyed a hot cross bun and a long black in a beautiful atmosphere. The time travel was amazing, the hot bun spicy and exotic and the coffee hot and delicious 🤓.

What a wonderful time travel 🧳.

Such a great little bakery tucked down a lane in Trentham. I can see why people come to Trentham specifically to visit RedBeard- with their use of local produce and their skilfully baked bread, pies and cakes, they really have such a great offering.

The cafe itself is lovely, beautiful plants and wooden interiors, with cute little nooks to sit in.

They have a few lovely vegetarian items on the menu which is great too.

I can never resist picking up freshly baked sourdough bread, as I can never resist that fresh bread smell.

Unfortunately the indoor dining area was closed due to Covid however there was a very large range of bread to take away and I could not resist the olive sourdough! Delicious and very fluffy too.

We went today for lunch and it was fantastic. Everybody was so friendly and the staffmade us feel like home. We got a BLT, a sausage roll and a crostata. The bread and pastries wer perfect and everybody full of flavour. We also got an olive sourdough bread, just fantastic, great texture, it was delicious. Also the bottled beverages were incredible, I forgot the brand of those drinks but they were locally bottled.the atmosphere was really nice.

So happy to find this little gem. Amazing food. One tiny complaint is that they didnt get my long macchiato order right. They delivered a shirt black. When I explained what it is the waitress couldn't quite understand why it wasn't a short black nor a long black.
