This is a vet clinic you visit to get a highly professional service from staff that actually care about you and your pets. Colonel Light Vet Clinic is owned by the vets working there and it shows. I take my pets to these guys. Thank you for all your help. This review is from a retired veterinary surgeon.

We have been going there for over 20 years. Professionalism and friendliness are second to none. The price is also reasonable and they go out of their way to help you. All the staff are truly compassionate and love the animals.

Have been going to this clinic with our previous dog Max who had to be put down in Apr this year. The service is good and the staff and vets are all very friendly and lovely. They even sent a little condolences card when Max was put down there.
I've since got a new puppy and have taken Cody to the vet for his vaccinations and desex procedure. The staff are ever so friendly and helpful. Keep up the good service and work! 😘

A great veterinary practice. We’ve trusted them with all of our dogs and cats over 35 years and they have never let us down. Old school professionalism and service at its finest.

All the vets at CLVC are amazing! Wont take my dogs anywhere else. They always fit in my appointments . I travel from Richmond to Colonel Light Gardens passing many other vets thats how good they are.

We took our cat there after we went to that horrid one on Marion road near Mitchell park .
Our cat was nearly dead because of the miss diagnosis from that other vet.
The vet was fantastic explained what was wrong the procedure needed and they hospitalized him.
They are well priced and our cat is still alive a well.
We now have 2 whippets as well which we now take there due to their great staff and pricing.
We live at Strathalbyn and we still take our fur family there.
Highly recommend them plus they have off street parking.

I had a very good experience with Colonel Light vet clinic. They were very calm and caring for my nervous dog, she got diagnosed quickly and they seem organised and respectful. I will come back with my dog.

My little dog wasn't been well all week. She got worse early hours of this morning. I took her straight to
Colonel light Gardens vet at 8am. (which is her regular vet clinic) I didn’t have an appointment and they saw her within 15 min of arriving. Very caring and understanding as I was so stressed and worried. Thank goodness it’s only a tummy bug and she will be ok. Was a very good price for a Saturday as well. Highly recommend this vet.

Best vet ever! I had someone different every time and they have all been amazing. They also fit you in quickly. I even had to put my beloved cat down and everyone was so supportive, even the little touch of getting a card afterwards. Would recommend to anyone, and glad they were recommend to me, as I didn’t like the last vet I used to go to.

After several attempts to find a new veterinary practice (after retirement of vet of 30 years) finally found this practice. Only 2 consultations to date but would recommend. ( We found this practice through a word of mouth recommendation)

We’re devastated, having to say a sudden goodbye to our beloved Murphy but Dr Caitlyn and Sam were incredibly supportive. Their empathy, understanding and caring attitude helped us through, and the information provided along the way was greatly appreciated. First class vets.

Have been there many times over the years and always happy with the care provided to different pets. Great surgery, caring, professionals. Sadly the last time was to get the cat put to sleep, they were really empathetic and so nice to deal with thru the whole process. Thankyou.

I have not had the best experience with finding the right vet however, colonel light is definitely the vet that my dogs will be going to from now on. I took my 7yr old greyhound (holly) to this clinic for surgery and I was so happy with everyone at the clinic. Both vets and nurses were very welcoming and caring which made Holly extremely comfortable for the first time in a vet clinic.
Darren and Zoe who are the vets who looked after holly were extremely gentle and caring towards her. You can see they’re passionate about what they do.

Both vet and vet nurse did the vaccination injection so well that Casper did not even know it was done. He was very calm the whole time and everything was great. Highly recommend
