There is a reason the ratings are so good here - clean, authentic, delicious Italian food. Lots of traditional Italian menu choices plus all the typical pasta and pizzas. A step at the front though, so not easily accessible for people using wheelchairs.

We just moved into the neighbourhood and I found this place on my running route so was curious to try. I went with my daughter and we both absolutely loved it. The wood oven Pizza was probably the best I have had in Adelaide and my daughter loved her spaghetti bolognaise. The other patrons had all been several times and raved about their meals also.

I am so glad that I found this place, amazing food, big portions for reasonable price, staff are always welcoming and friendly. This is our favorite Italian restaurant in Adelaide!!

Very friendly staff and great food for eating in and takeaway via menulog. Great atmosphere indoors and outdoors.

Parking in the lot is a bit small but manageable.
The chef isn't Italian but the food is still great.

Will certainly come back again and make this a regular.

Probably the best Italian restaurant around.! Food is authentic and fresh! The pizzas were cooked in a wood fired oven which had a unique flavor, and was amazing! The two pastas we ordered were perfect and the sauces were very fresh! Overall Loved the food, service and the ambiance. Highly recommend.

These guys do the best pizzas - they're sooo good! Today we had a bit of a wait for our takeaway because they were understaffed (some staff were in iso). But the staff were very apologetic about it and gave us extra drinks and dessert to make up for the wait. Great customer service, given the circumstances.

Warm and comfortable environment. The food is genuinely delicious 😍 We had a range of dishes from entrees, salads, pastas, mains and pizzas - and everything tasted and looked as if we were in a popular, authentic, amazing quality restaurant in any Italian town. I highly recommend this restaurant and the friendly, helpful staff.

I was casually walking by and i thought I should give this place a go. I did order the bruscheta to start and i was blown away. There pasta is delicious, my partner ordered a margarita pizza and she loved it. Great portion and fantastic service. I generally don't write reviews but Basilico Sud is an exception.

We had a meal here with my family - all 16 of us - the service was excellent as was the food. All the food came out at the same time. I had spaghetti marinara - fresh seafood - absolutely delish. Thanks

The best wood oven pizza! Thin base, flavoursome sauce and generous with the toppings. We also had the chicken salad which was HUGE! Chicken was juicy and had yummy grill marks. We will happily be getting take away from there again soon.

It was very difficult to choose from the huge menu as everything sounded so delicious! Thankfully, the waitress was very helpful for both food and wine, everything was amazing. The pizzas were absolutely divine with good, fresh toppings and bases that tasted better than homemade. The Arancini was perfect, and the Baileys Tiramisu is a must try.

What a hidden gem! The food was 10/10. Beautiful authentic Wood Oven Pizzas. Generous serves of home made pasta and an impressive wine list. The Primativo was our choice for the night and it did not disappoint. No room for desserts but they looked delicious.

Best authentic Italian food, I have ever had.just loved the crispy polenta. Had calabrase pizza and it was so good with salami mushroom and chilli oil added a whole new flavour to it.... highly recommended..😊
