Krooze in Cafe

Service was superb.
Staff were very friendly, felt like I am a regular but was first time there in this little cozy and nostalgic cafe.
This cafe brings you back to the old American feel like the movies in the 60/70s.
Even the mugs are memorabilias’.
Sandwiches and burgers and out coffees were tasty and satisfying.
This little jewel is a must visit if you are in the area. Just 10 minutes from Ballarat center. Worth a stopover for a coffee, cake snack or even lunch.

Stopped in for lunch on the way back from Bungal Dam and the Blast Furnace in Lal Lal. Good food, great service, spot on with the coffee and much memorabilia to look at while you wait for your order (dine in) 🙂
A bit pricey but that's inflation for you and you are also supporting a small business. Cost $49 ish for chips n hot dog, a jumbo coffee, two filled focaccias, and Lipton Iced Tea so maybe $16 pp ish.

Great relaxed atmosphere, meals tasty and fresh and lots of great memorabilia to keep the kids entertained. Lovely , welcoming staff everytime

Dear every other cafe in Ballarat, nay, THE WORLD! When someone asks for say, Eggs Benny minus the toast, the correct answer is "No worries, we'll give you a discount because we can't charge full price for that!". Not a smug looked follow by the 'ugh, gluten free...' eye roll. If you have a choice of being yourself, or being the Krooze in Cafe, choose Krooze.

Its just a step back in time when things were simplified.
It was a feast not only for the eyes but for the mind, you were transported right back to the 60's when kids would hang record albums on their bedroom walls, kitchen tables were green laminated.
You really did step back into the kitchen of your youth if you were a baby boomer born around 1950's you would feel right at home here.
Loved the coffee, I have moved from Sydney to Mount Helen & have found my local really corner coffee shop.
The 2 owners were lovely we chatted about a time when we had the sane kettle but in green in mums kitchen.
I only ordered a take away coffee but after I settle into my new home around the corner this is where I will be hanging out.
As soon as you walk in its just like stepping back into your mums or nannas kitchen from the 1950's a feast for the mind, eyes & memories.
Great job ladies, they would have had fun finding all the items, its so much fun.

We usually go here every week, great atmosphere and the food is reasonably priced and tasty. Malted vanilla milkshakes to die for! And would recommend the roast and gravy rolls, and the hamburgers!

Very friendly locally owned cafe with plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options. The 2 ladies (Theresa and Joan) worked above and beyond to help my sister who is a vegan. Would love to visit again soon

This place is a treasure. Have been eating morning tea here for the last few months while I have been staying in Ballarat working. Unfortunately the job has finished so I am really going to miss my morning teas here and especially miss the two wonderful ladies who run the place. Keep up the good work girls and hopefully see you again soon.

What a fantastic little spot. Theme cafe set in the 70's. What a fantastic setting. Food was great, service with the passion you only get from the owners of the business. Highly recommended.!!
