Colbinabbin Silo Art

Out of all the silos I visited on the trail, I believe this was the most impressive in terms of size. The trail keeps the drive interesting and interactive. If you do happen to stop at a silo. Make sure it's this one!

This is one of many instances of silo art in Victoria. Always wanted to see this art so went out of our way to visit Colbinabbin. The art is very impressive and a good way to encourage tourism in outback towns. Information is provided at the site on the history of Colbinabbin and what is grown in the district. Plenty of parking and there are very clean and maintained amenities next to the site.

Awesome silo art lovely on side of local pub. What else polishes off a wheat growing area is a great looking wheat crop waiting for harvest.

What a work of art, too bad the town is in the middle of nowhere, but please try to venture off the beaten track and take a look at this stunning piece of art.

Best silo art I’ve seen so far. Busy location. Easy parking. Easy to take great pics. No obstacles in the way.

Followed this fantastic silo art from start to finish. Extremely impressive - best in Australia! The area is well developed now with info and a shady area to have a rest or use the picnic table for a bite to eat. Very close to the Coby Hotel and the Colby General Store both excellent if you are hungry for yummy food! See photos for close ups to enjoy the amazing detail. A native grass area has been planted out recently and will look terrific in time.

A great little town to stop in on your drive, the Silo Art is well worth the visit, even if it’s off your planned drive.
They feature some amazing images of the local area and have become a huge draw card for the town. There is plenty of parking at the Silos for cars and those towing caravans. It’s an easy walk to the middle of town for a coffee or lunch at the cafe.

A quick stop off on the way home, well worth the visit.

What a delight! The photos do not do the beautiful paintings justice! So well cared for and obviously loved by the local community! A credit to all involved in the creation and upkeep!

Yes!! The scale, talent and depiction of the area through this silo art is simply breathtaking. I struck it lucky to see the art just as the sun was setting - Stunning. Thank you to the people who have made this possible; it’s your skill and dedication that reveals the beauty and history of the locality through such a relevant and inspiring media.

Great place to stop. Huge artworks on silos that are actually in use. When we stopped they were loading grain so added some more interest. Lots of easy caravan parking. We grabbed a drink from the general store on the main road before we pulled in to have a look.

This is another one of the most photo-realistic murals. The level of detail is mindblowing. I have to say, it sets the bar very high and makes it hard to judge other art work that is still top notch but has a different style which is on purpose not meant to be photo-realistic
