Went on night time tour. Well worth it.
Starts 8.30pm.
Go into main shed see locos then walk to turning table and hop on passenger car. There you watch an amazing show for an hour.

Brilliant. The trains tour was well worth the time it took. 2 hours of very informative history of Sth. Australian trains. The trains they have in there is incredible.

What an amazing place. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. As many of the things there are hands on and tactile you can immerse yourself in the past.
If you go there, do both the day and night shows, you won't be disappointed.

Do no miss seeing the Night Light n Sound Show, and 2hr daytime guided tours of Steamtown.
Phil & Tamara were both enthusiastic, entertaining and knowledgeable. Their stories were wonderful. Tamara gave us a town map and marked everything we should see. So glad we stopped overnight. And stayed 3 days there was so much to see. Well done reinventing yourself Peterborough!

I was pleasantly surprised with the number of handicrafted trains on display. They were perfection. Interesting throughout.

Had a Rv camping erea that was free for up to 72 hours. Great food- land store and a lot of history. Sad part about the place is that there is no more medi- care free doctors, and you have to pay out large gaps, even on centre-link returns. That is if you can find a centre- link /medi-care office close enough...and the hospital charges you as well, so be warned...

My husband had a fall in the caravan park (his own fault) and the attention he received was first rate. From the park manager to the paramedics, ambos, fire truck crew, nurses & doctor at the hospital. Also the ambos who put him on the flying doctor plane who came to check on me afterwards. The kindness shown by you all will never be forgotten. Thank you all so much.
