Graze Ballan

Absolutely cherished my time at Graze Ballan.
Jill & Phil were so welcoming, warm and accommodating. They really thought of everything.
I work retail and consider myself somewhat of an introvert so this place was perfect for me and my pup Hazel to get away and just spend our time unwinding and enjoying the sounds of nature.
Hazel and the resident pup Daisy became Inseparable, which gave me some time to relax and enjoy a snooze on the hammock when not taking a walk around the property to visit the friendly farm animals.
The accommodation has everything you need plus some sweet little extras which I found so thoughtful.
The food I ordered from the menu was delectable. You can tell they put so much love into what they do.
I’m so glad to have found this place as I will no doubt visit again soon!

We loved everything about the farm stay at Jill and Phil's. I don't even know where to start! The whole setup is so unique, from the separate dining and living where you can get away from the cold at night and play board games by the record player and heater, to the camp kitchen where you can cook your breakfast on the BBQ amongst the trees. We lit the bonfire early and even though it lightly rained throughout the day it didn't stop us from staying outside all day, eating the marshmallows provided by Jill, and hand-feeding the beautiful farm animals. We also made some mulled wine with the spices pack and red wine provided. It really was the perfect winter getaway! We also chose to have a dinner catered by Jill which was next level! The roast was amazing and she also catered for me being vegetarian.
We brought our 1.5 yr old whippet with us too and he had the best time ever running around with Daisy. I think he's quite upset that he had to come home to Melbourne! We can't wait to visit again!

Beautiful location, lovely setup. We stayed here for a festival over new years and it was such a lovely little spot. Jill was incredibly accommodating to our dietary requirements (vegan) and she was very relaxed and friendly. Her dog Daisy and cute little farm animals you could feed were such a wonderful added bonus. Kitchen had everything you needed to cook, but Jill also offers a proper menu of gourmet items you could order. Lovely stay!

We loved our stay at graze Ballan with Jill and Phil (and of course their dog, Daisy!). I was so impressed how every little detail seemed to be thought of which made our stay so comfortable. We arrived to a roaring fire and glass of wine! They also had lots of advice for what we could do in the area. We loved feeding the goats too! There was the option for complimentary dog sitting of our little Nellie which is definitely the most “dog friendly” accommodation we have ever found! Daisy is a total sweetheart and tried to hop in our car to come home with us at the end 😂 you can close the gate to keep her out if you don’t like dogs but we loved having her around! We had a lovely time and will definitely be back. Thank you!

WOW!! This is probably my favorite Airbnb stay ever. It’s beautiful, peaceful, relaxing and never a dull moment - not even the wet weather could dampen the spirits! Think campfire, roasting marshmallows, hand feeding the goats and Colin the alpaca, playing with Daisy the cutest and friendliest kelpie, playing old records and dancing in the rain! Loved it, thank you Jill and Phil, we will be back :) p.s. Jill cooks UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING meals! Please, you absolutely have to try!!!

An absolute joy from start to finish, Jill and Phil made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived on their gorgeous property. From providing an incredibly affordable dinner, to making sure our fire was lit when we arrived, to showing us around the property and letting us feed the animals, everything was fantastic! I couldn't recommend these guys and their place any higher, and an incredible bargain at that!

Graze-Ballan was a perfect getaway. The Gypsy van was luxurious, special and so unusual. Jill made the trip perfect with gourmet meals appearing throughout the day and dishes magically disappearing. She had really thought of everything and went to great lengths to ensure we were so spoilt. I highly recommend this as a weekend escape!

Incredible place to escape to and such a unique experience. Every little detail thought through to make a relaxing and catered-for weekend! Highly recommend ordering off the menu and spending time with the farm animals.

A top tier experience. Jill was incredible (as was Kym) and we loved every moment. Will both be back, and be recommending our friends visit too. Daisy is a highlight! Adorable!

Had the most amazing time at graze Ballan! The property is great, animals friends, food AMAZING! Jill and Phil were so friendly, helpful and literally have thought of everything to make the place comfortable and a memorable experience! Couldn’t give any recommendations to make it better because it’s already amazing!! Thanks for having us and we will be back for sure!

We had a wonderful time! The children loved the caravans and we all loved feeding the animals. This was our first getaway with our new dog and he adored Daisy the host pup, who was a most gracious play date. The weekend had all the fun of camping without any of the hassle - and comfortable beds to sleep on! Jill and Phil had everything we needed and were the perfect hosts. Local produce and wine were an absolute winner.

A wonderful stay. Accomodation is as advertised - clean, and something a bit different. The kids loved the animals and the caravan sleeping - warm and cozy even in July! Our dog enjoyed exploring and was made to feel very welcome. We ordered ‘from the grill’ for our first night and a local produce platter another night - both delicious! Jill is a warm and friendly host - very easy to communicate with when booking and during our stay. Highly recommend.

We arrived at Graze-Ballan with welcoming Jill, Phil and Daisy at the gate. We were amazed. First time someone greeted us right at the gate.
Daisy was gently introduce to our dog Milo to ensure that they get along well. And yes! Daisy entertained our dog Milo on our entire stay. She really made sure that our pooch was exercised well whilst the owners are relaxing. If I may add, the whole place is well fenced off so the dog can run around and feel free.

Jill and Phil showed us the whole place as soon as we arrived. Definitely made us feel welcome.

The whole place is unique and a lot of personal touches.
We had everything we need during our stay. And everything was well thought even what the dog might need during their stay. I was amazed.
I also appreciate their thought of putting information in a laminated card inside the dinning area for the guests reference. We have used it a lot. (I suggest for the guests to read it, very informative.)

If I could describe it further, the entire place was prepared by loving parents/grandparents and I mean it. Everything was there. It is like having a vacation at your parents or grandparents place! I could not believe that even hand sanitiser, throw rug for camping, mosquito spray, some dog food, fishing rods (if you decide to go fishing), bottled water, beautiful assortment of tea leaf, coffees, preferred bread and list goes on and on and on. Ooops yeah, the tea leaves are beautiful, I made sure I tried them all.

You will never go hungry or uncomfortable in this place!

And Oh let's not forget about the food. Jill is an excellent cook.
For dinner, we ordered Premium Roast for 2 adults and 1 kid.
For lunch, we ordered From the Grill for 2 adults and 1 kid
For breakfast, we ordered Farmer's Buffet Brekkie for 2 adults and 1 kid.

I must say that you will regret not having to try Jill's cooking. They are mouth watering. We made sure that we cleaned up our plates. That's how delicious they were. Nothing is left uneaten.

Our daughter enjoyed feeding the farm animals and cuddling up with Daisy. She also enjoyed playing with Jill and Phils' grandchildren who happened to be at their place at that time. Very nice and friendly kids too.

I don't know where to stop describing how beautiful this place is! This is a must try place.

We spent 2 nights in this lovely farm stay and it felt like our own private getaway. We endulged in lots of Jills food, everything was delicious and the camp fire was a bonus! We had the most kind hospitality from both Jill and Phil. We will miss the animals! Definitely looking forward to visiting again :)

Finally got to stay at Graze Ballan last night and wow are we delighted!
From the moment we got there we were well and truely spoilt with a 4 course meal, locally produced alcohol and lovely surroundings. Coming from a hospitality background I am always looking for the little details and there was nothing by that the lovely Jill and Phil didn’t provide. The accommodation was quirky, inviting and extremely comfortable and we felt a million miles away from home without the commute. Everyone that knows me knows I love the outdoors and this was perfect little getaway without the hassle of packing up to camp or needing to commute too far.
The food! Omg the food ! When your 8 year old daughter can cut the Waygu steak with a butter knife you know you are onto a winner. Jill is magic in the kitchen and uses all local produce. Did I mention how good the food was?!?
The old school hospitality is just unbeatable. Get on it guys you won’t be disappointed!

Amazing location, fun great value escape for the family. Delicious food and my daughter loved the animals .

A wonderful space to get away from it all, enjoy delicious gourmet country style food and wine ... and just relax. Heaven.

A unique Glamping/caravaning break not experienced before.
