Guildford General Store

A very nice place to stop off for a coffee or something to eat .
The chef made my hot chocolate drink then had a nice chat with me about the shop & the area after moving there from Melbourne . Very friendly .

I got the best vegetable pastie ever, sat outside with the locals and other travellers. A very tranquil spot with a great choice of food, take away Dahl !!! as well

Beverley, you absolute nonce. Grow up, nobody owes you anything. You seem like a bitter unpleasant person who is negative about everything in your life. I have never met you but I can tell that you have never worked in hospitality and any place you frequent, the staff all groan when they see you coming. Try taking a break from viewing the world as revolving around you, and take some time to find peace. You owe it to yourself. Your review is pure mid. Get a wifi dongle. Look in the mirror and try smiling.

Love this place, great service, great vibe, great building, love the outdoor seating (best in the shire), love the locals.

Super friendly. The most amazing pies with a great daily selection. Always served with a fresh delicious salad and home made relish on the side. Topped off with fabulous coffee, hot chocolate and yummy cakes. A regular visitor to this iconic eatery.

A truly amazing place. They have a bit of everything here. It was great to be treated as a friend while shopping here and not just a customer. The home cooked food was great, pies and muffins. One not to drive past but stop and enjoy an experience that is hard to find anymore a great country store.

Fantastic. Service with a laugh. I had a cake with pear and white chocolate(i think). Was one of the best i have ever eaten. Good coffee. We are now having some of there soup for lunch in our caravan. Also yum.

This is the place I like to sit and eat country home cooking. Take away and eat in. People are helpful and friendly and have the stables wine bar at the back, which is a great view of local history. The Big Tree is 5 minutes walk from the store and is well worth a look while your their.

This store has a great vibe ~ I ordered coffees & teas for a whole group of people & they were prepared in record time and tasted great. Wouldn't hesitate to call in again when I'm in the area. The store is just opposite the Guildford Family Hotel.

A visit to the Guildford store for a hearty Sunday lunch felt like being in the hub of the community, and decorated with its array of ancient artifacts (old biscuit tins and soft drink bottles; Persil soap boxes from an age ago), it has a quite a vibe to it!
Their homemade pies, accompanied by a tasty salad, are excellent; satisfying, and well worth the asking price, and provided by friendly, down-to-earth staff. It all amounts to a genuinely enjoyable experience that doesn't "try too hard".
Would definitely do it again!

One of the little gems you find in country towns around this area. Great coffee, tasty food and a friendly community atmosphere. Plus you can buy your milk and newspapers while you're there, what more could you ask for in a corner store?

On the occasional Wednesday lunchtime I'll go... we're near Guildford. It's time. The holy grail of lunches awaits me in that quaint little general store. Guildford itself isn't much to write home about and you could drive past this store and I'd passively call you foolish.

We go in. "Sausage roll and a chai latte please".
This is all you need, interchangeable beverage. This sausage roll could have it's own suburb and it'd be the best suburb in the area. This sausage roll is the benchmark we put other sausage rolls subconsciously. "Eh it's alright, but it's not a Guildford sausage roll." It's herby, hot, huge, reasonably priced.

Yes, and the chai lattes are banging too.

What a great spot for an excellent coffee and a delicious array of hand made pies, cakes and other delicious things. Well worth driving out of the way to enjoy. Definitely recommend
