Even without a launch, the view is spectacular.

The best way to access this spot is via Fishers Track, but the road is still quite steep.

I walked up the Mt Elliot Ridge Track, which is extremely steep, but the reward of the view at end was worth it.

The track can be followed all the way over to Thowgla.

If you time it right you can watch the paragliders and hang gliders launch off the mountainside.

A fantastic paragliding launch site. Great flatland flying and a wonderful town to enjoy. Beautiful scenery too

Best free-flying area in Australia. Elliot is an afternoon launch, good thermals through the valleys. Booming climbs and views over Mt Mittamatite and Pine Mountain. Plenty of eagles around, mostly friendly. Checkout the VHPA site for more details.

Town in Australia

Corryong is a small town in Victoria, Australia 120 kilometres east of Albury-Wodonga, near the upper reaches of the Murray River and close to the New South Wales border. At the 2016 census, Corryong had a population of 1,348. The post office opened on 1 February 1874. The town also has its own airport.
