Plunkett Conservation Park

A surprisingly beautiful area nestled in between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Numerous tracks lead people to the two major high points being Mt Wickham and Grasstree lookout. The unique sandstone features seem throughout the Conservation area provide a good landscape alternative to the predominant volcanic features of other areas within this region. Vegetation is mainly grass tree and eucalyptus rolling hills.

Street parking

Good spot for a quick walk, lots of little offshoots and random loops to do. A few steep hills to get the heart rate up. Very muddy after rain. Good parking for walks at end of Flesser Rd.

Not a lot to do other than some light rock scrambling, but it does offer some unusual and interesting rock formations.
Continue along the path and make your way up to the lookout. As a photographer I love the textures it offers.
Car parking can be a little interesting, with no dedicated car parking area designated. For this reason you park along the edge of the road. Do your best to pick an area where you can come off the road completely.

Great views. A good day hike and a good place to have a camp lunch

Our favourite stretch of bushland in our backyard. Host to lots of wildlife. Tracks for leaded dogs, horses, 4x4 and kids motorbikes. Or just trail running/hiking.

Lovely park nice walks

Fantastic bush walks and lovely views. Rock climbing and caves. Just be careful of the recent brown snake hatchlings. Saw three on one walk! One was squished unfortunately 😔

Great walk, flat with only little elevation

This area is really quite exciting for those interested in sandstone formations and related vegetation.Quite close to Brisbane/Logan/Redlands residents. Some navigational challenges for those going off-track but worth the stress.

Very nice park. Dog friendly as well. Great place for a day walk. Take plenty of water as none is available on the way.
