Oz Paragliding & Hang Gliding

Finally fulfilled a lifelong dream to hang glide and it was everything I’d hoped plus more. The scenery was spectacular (even had views of the Gold Coast) and being towed to 2,500 ft meant a beautiful long glide down. Lisa is a wonderful host and instructor. Staying the night before was perfect for the early start. Thanks again!

Had an awesome flight this morning with Lisa! It was such an amazing experience, I didn't want to land. Felt totally free and safe, amazing views. It was an absolute blast, do yourself a favour and book a flight, you will not regret it!

I felt like I needed to find something that somehow gave me adrenaline and made me relaxed both at once. Who knew such an activity existed? Hang gliding with Lisa here was an experience of a life time. The views are absolutely beautiful and there’s just something about being 2,500 feet in the air without being trapped in some box that makes you really feel the true meaning of freedom. If you’re like me and annoyed that it’s 2022 and human wings STILL haven’t been invented, this is probably the closest thing we’re going to get. The best part is when Lisa starts doing the tricks and for a split second, it really feels like you’re falling - and it gives you that rush of adrenaline that i guarantee not even all of the forces of the wildest roller coasters combined could ignite in you. Yes, I felt surprisingly safe the entire time despite how much I just made it sound like some mad sport. Yes, there’s an area for spectators and photographers. No, you won’t regret it.

Lisa and her team are great at teaching step by step from 'no idea' to 'safe pilot'. There were a series of students present at different stages. They offer a safe and fun adventure where, if you follow the plan it just feels 'natural' to try the next step! Shout out to her team also especially Joshua and Dan. Thanks guys! They also have onsite accommodation to make a holiday of doing a course or getting to the 'next skill level'.

Yesterday I had the absolute best start to my day. A tandem hang glide with Lisa from Oz Paragliding and Hang Gliding.
The whole team were professional, friendly and customer focused.
The only downside of my morning was that it had to end..
The weather was picture perfect, the experience was just awesome. I was like soaring with the eagles..
I will be returning, perhaps even as a student, so that I can learn this awesome sport for myself.

Flying with Lisa was absolutely magical! One of the best experience of my life ! I felt really safe and I could feel how knowledgeable is Lisa. More sober I had the chance to take the lead up there and it was incredible. I had this sensation of freedom and peacefulness. I really recommend anyone to go with Lisa ! It was amazing!

Really enjoyable experience and thoroughly recommend taking the quick trip out from either Brisbane or the Gold Coast to literally feel and BE - on top of the world away from the hustle and bustle of life . Highly recommend this professional yet friendly company. Lisa and John were absolutely amazing .

I recently had the pleasure of a Tandem Hang Gliding experience with Oz Paragliding and Hang Gliding. (Christmas gift from hubby)

I had such an amazing experience with Lisa; she was fantastic to deal with, helpful and flexible.
Heaps of communication in the lead up including directions and maps for where to find the drop zone.
Lisa is hilarious fun and yet very professional.

The tandem hang-glide is really cleverly done, as you and towed up to altitude behind a light aircraft. This allows way more time in the air than usual.
Once released from the towing aircraft it is ALL glide.
The descent was exciting as Lisa knew I was keen for a bit of adrenaline so a few dips and spins on the way down.

I'm a pilot so I do a lot of flying but this is the best way to be in the air! Lisa is a very skilled and awesome hang gliding pilot who puts you at ease and caters to everyone's adventure level. My friend is terrified of heights so naturally I asked her to come do this with me. After watching me have the best time she jumped straight in and loved every single moment. Awesome way to spend a Sunday ! and the coolest way to see the skyline of the Gold Coast from 3,000ft ! 100% recommend!!!

Lisa runs a good show and has a good team of experienced people around her. I randomly had a hang glide with her yesterday on a day I was meant to just be there watching my daughter! I could see it was well run and the conditions were perfect. The fact we had a plane take us up 2500 feet made all the difference too. We were above Mount Tamborine and had SPECTACULAR views over the Gold Coast and could see Brisbane and beyond to the Glass House Mountains. Lisa explains how to fly the hang glider and gives you the opportunity to do so yourself. She also gives you the option of aerobatics which were INCREDIBLE. I highly recommend!

Lisa took me hang gliding in a beautiful blue sky here, and it was truly incredible. When we got up I was surprised by just how peaceful and beautiful it was up there. She took plenty of photos and videos (masterfully posed), pushed us around some dips and tight turns, and even let me take the controls for a bit. The whole experience was amazing, and felt totally controlled and safe. 100% recommended!

Had the most incredible experience with Lisa today! Felt so safe and she personalised my flight to how I wanted it to be. I’m scared of heights but I didn’t have any fear at all, found it so relaxing and the view was insane! An epic adrenaline rush that I’d highly recommend, I will definitely be back again! As a first time flyer, I wasn't sure what to expect but Lisa's friendly personality made it very comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend with exceptional views of the Gold Coast and all the way up to the glasshouse mountains. Being 6"4 it caters for the tall as well.
