Tiaro Memorial Park

Absolutely 💯 area to stop on our travels. Very well maintained gardens etc & public toilets nice and clean!!!

This is a good free camp just off the Bruce highway behind the pub. There's toilets and showers close by behind the information centre. There's limitted sites here but there is another free camp on the other side of the railway line.

Cute little town. Got a good free camp close to main road. The retro cafe is worth a visit, also the information centre craft shop

Great large council park with clean amenities, 3 covered picnic areas and such a great place to easily park heaps of caravans.

For the over night stay there is a 2 min hot shower and amenities and just next to a pub and shop.

The children's aray of play equipment is exceptional with some under shade sail.

Handy Retro Espresso coffee shop on the corner to take that well deserved break.

Wow! Tiaro is one of the top campgrounds we've been to. The camp is a medium size gravel parking lot, flat with a tiny bit of an incline. The park can accommodate about 10 motorhome/caravans next to each other. Although space is a close proximity with your neighbours the area is not suffocating. There are several trees and quite a few open spaces that makes the camp big. There is a.sink at the entrance of the camp with both tap and drinking water available. Next to the camp spot is a large green grassy area that can be utilised for anything aside from camping. After that is a large park with a playground. It has a skate /scooter ramp. A new covered playground with slides, a climbing fort, slides, swings, flying fox and a three seater seesaw. The playground is on very white beach sand. There are 2 outdoor exercise machines next to the playground. There are several wooden seat benches scattered around the playground. There are also 3 covered seating areas with metal table and benches. There is 2 electric BBQ plates and a basketball areas next to it. Bins are located next to it and next to the toilet block. There is a tap next to the BBQ and a drinking fountain next to the toilet block. The toilet block is adjacent to the BBQ. There is a mens, women's, a baby room and a shower with a disabled toilet. The 2 minute shower is amazing, it is a rain shower feature and literally comes from a hole in the ceiling. There is a two minute timer. The shower will stop when 1 minute is done to warn you you have 1 minute remaining. There is a Power point in the shower. The toilet block is well maintained and serviced efficiently. Well stocked with toilet paper and soap. Disabled toilet has no soap dispenser though. The park is well maintained and very open. With several trees helping as cover from the sun. There is also a Volcanic Rock display in the park and information about it. The Visitors Center is right next to the park and beside it is the statue of the famous Mary River turtle. Tiaro is. A small town however it has essential shops you would need. A grocery shop, there is a hippie shop, a meat shop, a coffee and Chip shops, a pub right in front of the camp, a pharmacy, a doctor, a post office, a vintage shop. Everything is walkable and is one of the best tows we've been in size, and access to amenities. The camp is very popular and a lot of travellers pass by the town, turnover rate of caravans is fast. Generators allowed, unfortunately not wheelchair accessible however manageable if need be. Pet friendly. Nicely kept park and facilities. Free camp area down towards the back carpark area. Great park. Pretty central to the town area.

Full of amenities caravan park. Very calm area, hot showers (2 minutes timed but hot water) , shop and pub nearby. Free! it was amazing!Super recommend!

Great spot for a quick rest. Can park on the main road or at the back if you have a trailer or a caravan (dedicated parking area)

Great spot with good facilities. Sink, toilets and 1 shower. Also has playground facilities for families. Sites aren't level but can get around that with chocks. Get in early as it fills quickly.

Tiaro memorial park has been revamped. What an awesome designed rest area for everyone to enjoy. Rest is so much more comfortable.

Incredible free rest area, with everything! Toilets, shades, drinking water and other amenities like the area for washing your dishes.
Amentis all clean, good people and no midges.
Definitely a place where you must stop ifyou are in Tialo.

A park on the highway, with a toilet near a good coffee shop. Good for what might make travel more comfy, and a source of local detail.

. Very clean toilets, just the sort of place you look for when travelling. The staff at the Information Centre were absolutely friendly and helpful.

We like to support this little town each time we pass through. 11/11 the Parade had just finished but what a great display of love for those lost in War.
The Christmas Shop isn’t one to miss. It had so many displays for Christmas decorations I’d love to bring them all home. Sylvia couldn’t resist the big teddy.

Park, playground, side basketball ring

Recently updated to include information on local wildlife around Mary River, very informative and impressive bronze turtle sculpture. Plenty of picnic tables, playground, clean toilets. Local cafes and grocery store close by to replenish supplies including the iconic Tiaro butcher.

Great coffee stop. Park for dog walks and leg stretching. Love this little stop.
