Brooke Clunie Red Door Studio

I was excited to make a new coffee mug to take back to Melbourne, but even so, brooke still managed to exceed all of my expectations. She is a true artist. My partner, brooke and I spent an hour talking, crafting and learning about the process of pottery from start to finish. She is incredibly skilled and dedicated as well as extremely passionate about what she does. We’ve already decided to restock our kitchen with her products! 11/10 stars for the Mug Course - we couldn’t recommend it more highly.

My sister and I met our talented tutor ceramic artist Brooke, a skilled artisan whose ceramic vessels and earthy glazing epitomise imagination, form and function. After lots of chatting and a swan around the gift shop, Brooke advised we would experience making a one-of-a-kind bowl and cup using the pottery wheel which would later be fired and clear glazed for us. Such joy in forming the wet slippery clay into its final shape. The result: two unique handmade treasures each, a bowl and cup with no carbon copy to be found. These will definitely take pride of place on the Christmas table!

Brooke is such a genuine unique and lovely Soule and it was such a pleasure to meet her,we couldn't leave without some of her gorgeous mugs and another on order.

Brooke’s studio is so lovely and although we were rushed with a quick stop to make our flight, we loved our visit! Making a decision was the hardest part, every piece is so beautiful!!

I would never normally write a review, however mine and my partner's experience here was easily the highlight of our trip to Ballina in 2018.
From the first point of contact Brooke was exceptionally pleasant to communicate with. She was clearly knowledgeable and experienced in her craft, and made a no-experience-needed pottery session feel well worth the time and cost. In short, the session consisted of delightful conversation while having a blast spinning clay and looking out over a beautiful green valley. This place is a rare gem.
Additionally I would recommend visiting her studio at the beginning of a trip, as she clearly knows the area well and was able to recommend fantastic places to eat while we were there.

I don’t normally write reviews but felt compelled in this instance. Brooke is a gem!!! She was so accommodating and kind from the initial contact for our party of five! Her studio has an awesome vibe and we knew we were going to have the best time as soon as we walked in. She did not disappoint, but rather surpassed our expectations!!! Would highly recommend a workshop or even a quick visit to see and pick up one of her beautiful creations! We can’t wait to go back!!!

We had a great time with Brooke. She makes pottery look so easy! She was super helpful and made sure that we were able to come away with a mug and bowl that we could actually use and also that looks great! You can also see her own amazing pottery work for sale in her studio. Highly recommended!

Brooke’s studio, presence and creations are a one of a kind. I visited Brooke’s studio & left with the most beautiful pottery pieces I’ve ever seen. I now have a deep apperication for every meal and beverage I consume. Brooke’s ability to connect with those who enter her space is very special & the way she relates to & describes her pieces is beautiful.

Red Door coffee is excellent. Quality is first class, it is fresh and full of flavour and body. It is a great coffee to drink at any time of day. I drink about four cups a day and I have enjoyed Red Door at all times. It has been met with very positive responses when I have served it to friends. I made the trip to the Red Door outlet in Fernleigh and met Brett the roaster and I can say their friendliness and enthusiasm was infectious.

A highlight of our trip. I am sure we will be back.
