Maggie Lou's Bite

I have driven past this place numerous times and decided to stop and support the locals after the devastating fires. I was pleasantly surprised by the cafe decor and being Friday night the place was nearly full and lively. I was treated by the owner and although they don’t have a vegetarian option they were happy to oblige and make a grilled mushroom variation of the Maggie’s burger.
Less then 10 mins later it was on the table and worth every cent. Lovely! I will be back.

Great place to stop during your blue mountains road trip. The food is delicious. I took the special salmon burger and my boyfriend took the crumble salmon fish and chips. The tartare sauce is so so good. The staff is friendly and it was ready super fast. You can eat outside on tables, it’s nice!
The desserts (homemade) were looking amazing but I was too full to try any.

For a business that is under a year old Maggie Lou's are doing a lot right. The burgers and coffee are absolutely delicious. If they keep doing what they are doing, Bilpin won't just be famous for apples but burgers too! Sadly no photos of our group's 7 burgers that included the Maggie, Pork, Duck and Gluten free. We were hungry and dived straight in. Will definitely be back. 😀 update 07/03/20 passing through Bilpin on a rainy Saturday night ... Pleasantly surprised to see Maggie's still open. Again burgers were absolutely delicious!!! thank you!!!

Cracking burgers, good value, good people. Charming location and a simple feed makes it a surefire stop up the mountains.

This unassuming place on the side of Bells Line of Road has some of the best burgers you will find. Creative, filling and value for money make this a place to stop at.

Whilst the outdoor dining area could at best be described as having rustic charm, OMG the burgers are simply wonderful. Try the duck burger, wonderful. My wife had the pork loin burger and loved it. Our son had the Kangaroo schnitzel, beautiful. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Do yourself a favor, if you are in the area stop at Maggie Lou's

The tastiest, freshest burgers. The panko crumbed chicken burger & the cheeseburger were both delicious. We were pretty blown away. The owner is lovely too. ‘Takeaway only’ meant the food was brought out to us at outside tables. Really nice hearing the bell birds. There were clean bathrooms out back for customers.

Amazing. Staff made one of the most gourmet vegetarian burgers for me off the menu. My partner's fish burger was one of the best she's ever had with deep fried capers from their garden. Well exceeded expectations. A must stop.

Hamburgers the way they used to be, only better!
Home made hamburger patties of different flavours...very tasty and very filling.
Beautiful home made cakes too.

My mum and dad come here often and so do I from Sydney because it is just soooo good! The DUCK burger is literally the best thing you'll ever eat! To top it off the owners are so down to earth and friendly we love coming up here and it's worth the hour and a bit drive 🙌 don't forget to stop here on your getaway to Bilpin you won't regret it. Maggie spoils us everytime we go - lovely lady ❤

We stayed at Tomah Retreat over the weekend and called Maggie Lou’s Bite AMS asked id they could deliver to us if we gave them a delivery fee (15 minute drive away).

They said they would and did not disappoint!

Kerry dropped off our food and it was absolutely delicious! The burger, the chips and the local ginger beer. Would totally recommend and return at a later date. 😋😋😋

Had a naked chicken and chips, hubby had the Maggie’s burger.
Everything is so fresh! The salad was so fresh also! Chicken was delicious!
Definitely visit when in bilpin.

Took a late lunch break here during our commute back to home. This place have outdoor seating; great landscape view when you meal upon and friendly people. Loved it.

Delicious take away one the way Mudgee (last one before the mountains) great outdoor seating so good for doggo too. Word of warning for those with carsick kids: the roads get very windy shortly after!

Absolutely lovely people running the place!
I broke down outside and they were very generous in offering assistance.
While I waited i ate a meal from their kitchen, a very delicious bacon and egg roll!!
Do yourself a favour and stop here!!

The crispy potatoes were amazing! So much so that we had to order seconds! Also, the special cake of the day, banoffee pie was to die for. Will definitely be back if in the area again. Thankyou!

Delicious and well thought out burgers served by friendly, chatty and resilient staff in these tough covid times. Glad to have found this place, will be stopping by every time I'm through the mountains :)

The go to place for artisan burgers, with so many unusual choices, pork loin honey soy, local beef burgers, Roo burger, duck with Apple slaw, mixed with local honey burger, tuna and salmon steak burger, with many more, tried the special Moroccan eggplant and tuna steak burger this week...guys you knocked it out of the park again. See you again in a fortnight.!

Beautiful burgers! You must try duck burger 💓 double cheeseburger is massive and delicious. Great place with really nice people.
