Chapel Hill Retreat - Wedding and Event Venue

Chapel Hill is an exceptional and well-run wedding venue. Rebekah, Rebecca and Diane were so friendly and wonderful to work with, efficient with communication and helped everything run as smoothly as possible. We loved that Chapel Hill accommodates one wedding per day, which offers space and flexibility for the whole venue. The venue itself is beautiful, clean and the accommodation the night before and night of the wedding meant we could relax and not worry about travelling on the day. We were also able to change our ceremony location up to two hours before the wedding, which helped in our favour on the day due to weather conditions. The team were in constant communication with us and our MC on the day of the wedding and were very flexible with the timing of activities to delay or accelerate as needed. One of our external vendors forgot to bring some practical items as arranged and Chapel Hill didn’t hesitate to supply these for us, which we greatly appreciated. The food was delicious, everyone complimented it and went back for more. We recommend Chapel Hill to anybody looking for a beautiful and stress-free wedding.

We had our wedding here about a month ago. Beautiful venue and loved that we could have the preparations, ceremony, reception and accommodation all in the once place. All our guests commented on how nice the food was too. Dianne, Rebecca and Rebekah were so lovely to deal with and made sure everything was how we wanted. The lake lodge was stunning and so comfortable to spend our wedding night in. I would highly recommend this wedding venue.

Wow, what can we say.
The Chapel Hill team was so accommodating to our needs for our special day. They were always in touch with us to make sure we knew what was happening if they had to make changes. Everything from the views to getting our photos taking in surrounding bush land, was picture perfect. There dinner menu that we choose from was amazing, our guest also enjoyed the meal. Would recommend anyone who was looking for a wedding venue to get in touch with these lovely people.

We got married in March 2023, and had looked around at a few venues before seeing Chapel Hill Retreat. We had thought we would need to compromise on a few things, however as soon as we visited Chapel Hill, we knew we wouldn't need to compromise on anything as it was the perfect venue. The ladies were so fast at communicating and responding to any questions we had either via email or phone.

On the day, unfortunately the weather was not on our side, but thanks to Chapel Hill's flexibility with their many ceremony options, and only one wedding per day, we were able to move from the lawn to the verandah just hours before the ceremony.

The bridesmaids and bride were able to get ready in the Bridal Lounge from 9am, and the groomsmen and groom could get ready in the Bulgamatta Homestead from 12pm.

The reception room held our 80 guests with plenty of space, the food was beautiful, and the bar could not be faulted!
There is plenty of parking, and the views are to die for - even in the rain.
We used all of the onsite accommodation, which family were very impressed with.

We got married at Chapel Hill Retreat in March, 2023. We had searched around for the right venue for months before having a private viewing at Chapel Hill. My wife and I knew instantly that this was the venue for our special day. Rebekah, Rebecca, and Diane were superb in all facets! Their communication and receptive attitude made it extremely easy to organise our wedding. We had a menu tasting approximately two months prior to the wedding and found it hard to choose between the meals as they were all delicious.
On the day, my wife had the use of the bridal lounge to get ready from 8am through to our ceremony at 4pm. We had our ceremony on the open deck with a stunning view of the Blue Mountains, however there were 6 ceremony site options on the premises, all of which are available for photos afterwards.
The reception venue was comfortably held our 90 guests and provided as the most magical place for the night. The events team provided excellent service throughout the night!
We had the use of 7 residences on-site for the night to sleep our bridal party and family.

My daughter was married here last weekend and I would definitely recommend it for your wedding! Diane and Rebecca were fantastic to deal with from the beginning and they were very attentive and made sure everything ran to plan on the day. The food was beautiful and the staff were all fantastic.
The venue is in an amazing location. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. We also stayed on site and the accommodation was very well presented.
The weather wasn't too kind to us as it rained most of the day but it didn't dampen anyone's spirits and I have to say it was one of the best weddings I have ever attended.

Me and my now Wife just got married at this amazing spot! I remember out first tour and getting shown the many different locations which we could have our ceremony, all just as beautiful as the last, both inside and outside, Having our Ceremony and Reception is always a great thing! The Food was amazing, and customisable, the staff were lovely and having the house/cottages available for before and after, getting ready and having your closes friends come back to made for an amazing day/night, and the honeymoon sweet down by the water was just the perfect way to end the night and wake up the next morning, if your looking for somewhere to have your day, I 10/10 would recommend this place! You won't regret it!

We booked Chapel Hill Retreat 18 months in advance of our wedding and to say the process was easy is an understatement. From the moment we stepped onto the grounds we knew this was our venue, from the natural beauty, to amazing accomodation and the nicest reception space we were blown away. Rebecca, Bec and Diane were so accomodating and absolute delight to work with. The food was outstanding along with the service and any changes, even last minute were accomodated straight away. Our guests raved about the day, venue and food. We couldn't fault them. I'd recommend any couple to have their wedding at Chapel Hill Retreat to experience what we did!

We had our wedding there in may 2023 and it was an absolutely perfect day. The venue coordinators were fantastic at keeping us in the loop of everything happening on the day and we’re super adaptive when plans changed. My partner and I loved being able to get ready at the venue and the space itself is awesome. Really well taken care of.

Chapel Hill Retreat is the first venue my husband and I looked at. We didn’t bother looking at any other venues because Chapel Hill had it all.
It is a stunning mountains property with beautiful gardens and views of the rolling hills. Chapel Hill particularly stood out to us because of the all the different ceremony areas and reception package options, we were truly able to tailor our wedding to us. We also loved that our family and friends could stay onsite in the cottages and enjoy our first breakfast together as husband and wife.

The team at Chapel Hill had very prompt communication and were happy to answer all my questions to calm the bridal nerves. We had to postpone during lockdown and everything was communicated openly for a smooth postponement.
Diane went above and beyond to coordinate our wedding and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day, exactly as we had planned. It was a pleasure to meet with Diane throughout the process, and to see her friendly face on the day. Diane become our friend by the end of it all.

The food was exceptional, both dinner and buffet breakfast. We had many guests tell us it’s the best food they have ever had at a wedding.

The atmosphere of the day was filled with love, happiness and fun. My husband and I were truly able to relax and enjoy our wedding day thanks to the tireless hard work of the Chapel Hill staff. We cannot thank you all enough and we could not recommend Chapel Hill Retreat higher as a wedding venue.

Chapel Hill Retreat have stunning views and friendly staff. Even we were only hosting a small wedding, the team was very nice and flexible to help us arrange every small details through out the process. And most importantly, the venue is very pet friendly! Our dog got to be a part of our special day thanks to the Chapel Hill Team.

We recently had our wedding here and the whole experience from start to finish was great! The team made the process so easy and stress free. The venue itself is beautiful from the rooms to the accommodation to the amazing views and you have so many options for where you would like to have the ceremony.
The venue is also pet friendly which is a plus! Would definitely recommend especially to those that would like the option for family to stay after the wedding :)

Chapel Hill Retreat was the very first place my then fiance and I went looking for a wedding venue. We met Diane and she took us on an incredible tour of the place. We felt in love at first sight and did not bother to look anywhere else.

Since that day, over the next year and a half, we made over four personal trips up to Chapel Hill Retreat before our wedding. In addition to the early planning sessions, we also took part in the Reception Dinner Tasting session and on-site wedding rehearsal. Each time we went up we felt great conviction in our choice of a venue because it was so beautiful. We took great effort to plan our entire wedding to the detail but even if we didn't, the team at Chapel Hill would have helped us tremendously with their suppliers and vendors network. In short, if needed, they could literally have organised everything for us to make any wedding dream a reality.

I have lost track of the number of emails I have sent them in the lead up to the wedding and the wonderful grace and patience they showed in responding to each of them! They helped me with every enquiry, modification, and contingency plan. They accommodated our stylistic choices, ceremonial rituals, reception nitty-gritties, and logistics. Diane even suggested the use of the Chapel for our tea ceremony, which was a brilliant idea.

Instead of a set menu, we decided to go with the buffet options, which turned out to be the very best dang idea ever since no one on the night of our wedding reception went home hungry or wanting. This is uncommon to be said of reception dinners but the Food. Was. Delicious. Three words: sticky date pudding. Many of our interstate and even international guests commented that the very long trip was worth it. The accommodations were on-site and highly recommended for stay in the night before. Although we didn't stay in the absolutely stunning lakeside Honeymoon Suite, we took fantastic photos around it.

Views are simply stunning. We were fortunate to be gifted on the day with not just one but TWO rainbows after a very brief light drizzle which only enhanced our photos! Fortunately, the drizzle came after the ceremony and a beautiful sunshine broke out. We really took advantage of the expansive venue as well, taking photos at each of the key locations on-site. Bushland. Blue Mountains. Lakeside. Chapel.

From guiding my bride down to the arbor to serving the buffet at reception to making sure our accommodation was ready, we felt like VIPs on the entire 35 acre venue. Yes, we had the entire 35 acres to ourselves! Serendipitously, I am training to become a wedding celebrant. I cannot recommend a better wedding venue.

A huge thank you to the ladies at Chapel Hill retreat for your amazing help in planning my November wedding. From the initial booking, to all the planning to the actual day it was such a lovely experience working with these ladies. They were so helpful and always happy to answer the million questions I had. The day of the wedding was really a shining point for these ladies I cannot tell you how many of my guests came up to me to comment on not only how beautiful the venue was but how wonderful the staff and service was, how delicious the food was and overall how well the day was run. It was a perfect day and I am so happy we chose chapel hill.

Rebekah, Rebecca, Diane were beyond incredible, helping us navigate the complexities of the pandemic and restrictions. I know from speaking to friends that very few venues are as communicative and responsive as Chapel Hill. We couldn't have asked for a better or more supportive team.

The venue itself was exquisite and perfect for our needs. We invited a lot of 'foodies' who agreed that the food was excellent, and was a highlight for our guests. They were very well fed and nobody went home hungry.

The team were incredible on the day, taking any minor issues that arose in their stride. We felt very well looked after!

Overall, we had a magical and perfect day at a magical and perfect venue!

We had the most amazing, stress-free experience planning our wedding with Chapel Hill. We knew on first viewing that this was the place for us and felt supported by a team who expertly guided us every step of the way. Beautiful accommodation, amazing food and stunning scenery! Nothing was too much trouble and we can’t recommend it enough.

We fell in love with the chapel as soon as we saw it. We visited other venues but none even came close to the atmosphere and feel of Chapel Hill. So many picturesque spots to hold the ceremony and the reception room was so classy.

Right from the start, the team were easy to work with and very accommodating in making our day perfect.

The accommodation on site was beautiful. My husband and I stayed in Lake Lodge and I could not imagine a more romantic setting for our wedding night. My family stayed in other on-site accommodation that was so quaint and homely (and far away from our lodge!).

I would recommend this venue to anyone. You really feel at home and can make your wedding have whatever feel you are going for.

The staff were amazing on the night, always available if we needed anything, without feeling intrusive.

The food was delicious and they were great at incorporating all our dietary requirements.

I cannot rave enough about this venue and I guarantee that if you go and look at it, you will not be disappointed!

A truly perfect wedding day experience - from planning to on-the-day execution, every detail was so perfectly managed by the Chapel Hill team! The food was truly delicious and the accommodation options were comfortable, clean, and so nicely appointed. And we truly loved our wedding photos all over the stunning Chapel Hill grounds!

Chapel Hill is a very stunning property which offers different venues inside. They have both outdoor and indoor locations, so you can be at ease that your event will proceed regardless of the weather! Plus you get a lot of options for your photos after the ceremony!

They only do 1 event per day ensuring the quality of the service they provide. It does not matter if you are doing a big wedding with hundreds of people or just an elopement with just you 2 or with a few family & friends, they treat all events equally and with the same amount of care. We had an intimate wedding at the Bush Cathedral followed by a reception at the Deck. We had a total of 14 people including us and they were still very involved in the preparation and execution. They are very responsive & patient with all correspondence - in person, mail or phone. They make sure that the bride & groom are relaxed on the big day and help out on the little details as much as they can.

For the food, they serve alternating menus with entree, mains, & dessert. We got a variety of the dishes and all of them were delicious.

They also have fantastic villas/rooms available to make your total experience hassle free. We stayed at the Bulgamatta Homestead - 4br + 3.5bath + 3 sunrooms/living rooms + open space kitchen and dining. It’s perfect for a big family or group of friends for before and after the wedding!

Chapel Hill was one of the first venues that my husband and I looked at. We left that initial meeting with Diane filled with excitement – we knew we had found our venue! The property is gorgeous and very spacious, with green rolling hills and gardens, as well as bushland and a beautiful lake (with a very romantic lake lodge!). The view from the verandah of the reception hall is breathtaking, and there are so many options on the property for ceremony locations – the space is just perfect.

Diane and the team at Chapel Hill were professional and enthusiastic. They were very happy to tailor our wedding package just for us – we held the wedding across two days, with multiple events on the property. All our requests were catered for and we are especially grateful for their flexibility and support throughout the entire planning process, particularly when we had to reschedule the wedding 6 weeks out due to COVID.

The wedding went incredibly smoothly – the whole team worked so well behind the scenes to put everything together, my husband and I were truly able to relax and enjoy our day! Our guests all commented on how beautiful the venue was, the friendly and professional staff, and the DELICIOUS food! The onsite accommodation was also a huge plus, it was great to have all our close friends and family staying with us. The beds are super comfy and the homestead, honeymoon lodge & other cottages are so cosy and beautifully decorated!

We are so glad that we found Chapel Hill – we want to thank Diane, Rebecca, Rebekah and the rest of the team for all their amazing work and support in organising our wedding day. We cannot recommend them enough! It was an absolutely magical experience that my husband and I will cherish for the rest of our life together <3
