Beautiful , iconic, historical building , one of the oldest in the city is a host to several businesses and even Arcade Museum showing history of the place. Renaissance Arcade is a quaint arcade packed with unique retailers, eateries, a hairdresser, picture framer, record store, few cafes and vegan restaurant. It’s absolutely must visit and the vibe is great., giving visitors unique experiences of shopping in old times. Just pity it competes with other modern chain shops in Rundle Mall.

Lovely Arcade with beautiful architecture. It has a small museum on the history of the place and the items sold there. Most shops are closed on Sunday. Love the coffee at the coffee spot which offers a nice corner on the upper level.

Museum-looking arcade, THE Arcade for Adelaide in my opinion.

Adelaide Arcade is my favorite old building in Rundle Mall, very elegant and beautiful! It’s always decorated in different styles to reflect activities & celebrations in Rundle Mall. This time we see lots of umbrellas!

One of the few remaining historic interiors in Adelaide. There is a small museum in the stairwell off Gays Arcade.
It is the obvious place to look for a fountain pen or a hat. I used to visit regularly while working close by, still checking what is on offer every time I shop in the city.

Old charm. Beautiful outside decor. Well maintained. Has history tours. Has shops that interests me. Has quaint cafes. Not too uppity like most arcades.

THE beautiful attraction in the city. Hopefully, it will stay like that. The charm of Adelaide. With many unique shops, you don't find in the "normal" malls. Go upstairs to see the museum. Also, to see the balustrade where orchestras used to play in former times. And take a coffee at the cafe downstairs. Where elder italian men take their espresso..in suits, for sure!
When it was inaugurated, there was even a highly favoured underground Tea Room there. Where the water for tea came from an underground spring. And there was a turkish bath!
You can still feel the luxury energy here. Hopefully forever!
Should be Unesco World Heritage Site. And europeans are reminded of the "Galleria" in Milan.

Such a gorgeous historic arcade, I had forgotten how stunning this was - the tiled floors, the shop fronts, the decorative decor, it is worth a visit even if you are not shopping for anything! There are 2 floors and a lift that's tucked away.

Adelaide Arcade is a shopping arcade in the centre of Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1885 with 50 stores, the arcade grew to over 100 shops through the addition of a balcony area in the 1960s. It was one of the first buildings in South Australia to have electric-powered lights. We visited Adelaide Arcade the oldest arcade in Adelaide while on a recent trip. The arcade was opened in December 1885 & has distinctive domes, ornate details, and architectural grandeur. As soon as you step inside you are transported back in time. All the old shops were amazing. We even saw an old hat shop. This is a great place to purchase some interesting items or just for some window shopping.

If only in Adelaide for a short time this is the only good reason to go near Rundle Mall. So Nostalgic and beautiful. Be sure to check out the upper floor (and museum up there). Lots of wacky and butique places to shop- and for the affluent among you there are some designer shops (think rolex, expensive pens, horse racing attire, upperclass dayware.

This pleasant shopping experience can’t be forgotten especially the chocolate 🍫 shop that you can’t miss 🥰

Lovely arcade with history. The mini museum is very lovely touch. The architecture is simply stunning. The shops here are nice, with good variety available.

Adelaide Arcade is a very historic and characteristic commercial area in Rundle Mall. Exquisite arche and beautiful promenades. Shopping and dining in it are great.
