Cobar Town Monument

It’s a very big sign that you’ve reached Cobar and is really befitting a mining town.
It’s located at the truck stop so there are toilets, they were clean when I was there.
There’s plenty to do in Cobar for a day if you enjoy history. The Museum is your first stop and is just around the corner
There’s also good food stops, petrol stations and an RSL.

We love the Cobar sign and take a new pic every time we pass through town on our travels. Good place to stop for a stretch and toilet break.

It’s a must visit photo spot in Cobar town. You can park the car near and walk up to this monument. It depicts the mining history of the town.

If you love western movies, a must stop place for you. Old, dry, red, just like the old western movies. Loved the place. Has washroom with water facility. Big mining city will all the facilities. Can visit nearby gold mining spot to have a look how a mining place looks like.

Nice place to stop and take some photos! We took our little pommy on the trip to Coober Pedy and he was happy to have his photo taking here! 😉

Wish every town had a monument as spectacular as this. Makes for a great photo stop. Everyone on this road would have stopped by here atleast once.
