Balloon Joy Flights

Easily a 10-star recommendation. The entire Balloon Joy Flights crew were welcoming and highly experienced, with a wicked sense of humour. Anton Kerr was our man. We had a magical experience - we were fortunate enough to have perfect conditions after recent floods within the past week.

We had fun, we shared laughs, but most importantly we felt safe under Anton's expertise. The packing-away of the balloon was half the fun, don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. It was a hilarious bonding exercise! We had a fantastic group!

After a hearty feed at Tommy's, who made an excellent host at Montrose House, we walked away with memories to last a lifetime. WOW. The entire experience from start to finish was simply breath-taking.

What an amazing morning. Up early, picked up on time and taken to our launch site. All instructions very clear - safety first and foremost. It was a beautiful morning crisp, misty, but sunny and just the right amount of wind. We loved our flight over the countryside looking down on fields of canola, the Belubula River, wildlife and domestic animals alike. The mist really gave us an air of quiet serenity. Champagne Breakfast at Montrose House topped off a wonderful experience.

We had a great experience from start to finish. This was a rescheduled flight due to poor weather last time for which we had excellent notice to change plans. There was a lot of flexibility rebooking (and I suggest you book directly with them and not through a 3rd company). Beautiful scenery, lovely breakfast and knowledgeable pilot - we are grateful for the super smooth landing too in the slightly windy conditions.

We had the pleasure of experiencing our first flight recently and it was a truly wonderful experience. Anton, our Pilot, was informative and ensured we were well briefed throughout the entire flight. The Champagne breakfast at Montrose House was fresh and delicious (thank you, Tommy). Canowindra, Cowra and the Orange region have plenty to offer and I cannot wait to visit again.

The experience of our Balloon flight in Canowindra exceeded all expectations. The serenity of the flight over the township and surrounding frosty landscape as the sun rose into a calm and cloudless sky was magnificent. The professionalism and friendliness of the Team was very much appreciated and made the experience very special. Well done BalloonJoyFlights. Amazing experience and would 10/10 recommend and do again myself. This is a family owned business that has been running for 35 years - and it shows! So informative before, during and after the flight during our champagne brekky.

Excellent hosts, very friendly and knowledgeable. The whole experience was magical, they really focus on making you feel welcome and comfortable. The Balloon ride itself was out of this world, beautiful weather and a very experienced pilot gave us the best possible experience one could wish for. The breakfast afterwards was delicious and we really appreciated the vegetarian option they prepared for us.

Highly recommend Balloon Joy flights and we will definitely be coming back for another go!

Our balloon flight was an amazing experience! Jan was so helpful and friendly beforehand, Anton was a professional and calming pilot. I can’t recommend this wonderful family operated balloon flight enough. Do yourself a favour and go.

Magnificent! My father and partner got flights for their birthdays and I went along for the ride. The staff are excellent, the breakfast was just so lovely and floating around the local area was just an absolute joy. We stayed at the local caravan park which was so welcoming as well. Canowindra itself is a quirky lovely spot with a really I interesting main street. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND JUST DO IT! Definite bucket list experience.

Our first experience in a balloon and we couldn’t have asked for a better family to take us up! The experience was super comfortable, very professional and plenty of laughs! Wrapped up with a really delicious breakfast. All in all; a truly wonderful experience. Definitely go for it, you won’t regret it

My husband was a bit cautious about the experience before we met the crew and he later told me as soon as we met the team he was very happy with the safety and expertise by the pilots and support crew.
It's a family run business and you can really tell they have a passion for ballooning and the local area.
We had a fantastic flight across the fields which luckily were all in growth during spring and the scenes were just amazing.
One thing we would have done differently was to wear our waterproof hiking boots and trousers as you can get quite wet feet during the setup and packing down of the balloons in the wet dew on the grass. Be prepared to help pack the balloon up into its box at the end (like a giant heavy sleeping bag)
The entire experience with champagne breakfast in the local cafe at the end was a bucket list dream come true.

I am so happy I went to balloon joy flights for my first time hot air balloon experience...the flight was so smooth and the staff is so friendly. The staff is a family who have immense experience in flying..they work together and it's so inspiring to see them going seamlessly...later they take you to their own cafe-delice cafe which is once again such a cute place and the food and their hospitality is just awesome..I can never thank them enough...
