The lake is beautiful but there’s no access. It’s closed after being damaged by fire and floods in 2020-2022.
Our Guide said that the reopening is planned in 3-4 years….
The best way to see the lake is at the Lucas cave tour - there’s a lookout after climbing up the stairs to the access to the cave. Or you take the walk to carlotta’s arch

Amazing lake with beautiful scenery and very well kept foot path with lots of wild life on the way like lizards but no snakes. The lake is very well kept and clean with places which are picture perfect which could be on a post card. Also there is a waterfall where you can swim in at the bottom of it. Parking is not far away and only a 5 minute walk to Jenolan caves and another 3 minutes for parking.

A beautiful lake to enjoy walking around or to chill out at while waiting for a tour at the Jenolan Caves. The colours of the lake are amazing. Some seating along the lake to relax and enjoy the view. There is also alot of nature to enjoy here.

Amazing place. You can find all kind of wild life’s. Perfect for group, couples and family. Walk all the way down for a picnics area with open fire bbq thingo. Probably gotta bring your own fuel and CHECK FOR FIRE WARNING. Have pretty much all types of bridges. Including suspension, truss bridge, cantilever bridge and more. Also see my photos for cool animals.

A beautiful platypus is home to this lake. It is magical. Aqua coloured water and greenery like you would only find in countries like Austria, Germany and Canada.

I would come here again. An easy paced walk to get to, good for beginner bush walkers and injured or slower hikers. Flat terrain.

Go right before it gets dark and sit down and wait. You'll see them when they surface to breath. While bubbles generally mean there is a platypus under the water at that place, it's really hard to see them unless they surface. The patience is worth it! We sat out there for over an hour and had around 20 sightings in that time.

Cool place, a lot of lizards which aren't really afraid of you. It is said that you can see a platapus during twilight. Haven't seen it tho. There is a quite beautiful walking track down past the lake.

An nice 1 hour walk each way following the river, you can turn back anytime, if your feeling puffed. Try early morning, or afternoon to see more animals.

Stunning little lake. Truly blue like the photos! I saw an adult platypus and others on my cave tour saw some babies.

Great river walk, parking at jenolan caves. The limestone particles make the water looks very blue. Beautiful!

Beautiful place to linger for a while and soak up the environs. I saw my first platypus in the wild in the blue lake.
