Caves Cafe

We had coffee and the beef burger with chips. Coffee was good, their beef burger was delicious, a proper burger with beetroot. Cafe staff were kind and everything was very clean.

I didn’t think the prices differed much from Sydney prices, I’m happy to pay them regardless because the portions were large, the food was good and it’s supporting a historial site.

Coffee and food were nice and customer service was nice , she smiles all the time when she serves .

Keep up the good works .

It was open when we were there four days ago, the gift shop next to it was open too.

Do yourself a favour and bring your own food. We just had an ice cream and the raspberry gelato had so much food coloring in it, it turned my teeth red. Would hate to know what else was in it!

Price was OK, considering its the only option the prices are super fair but the food was so average which is a shame as the location is absolutely stunning and they could do alot with it.

We were at the cafe yesterday and the staff forgot two of our orders. We had to remind them about the coffee and the fish and chips and they then started making it. I asked the staff the name of the cake at the counter and she did not know what it was, neither did they know what dirty chai on the menu was. It would have been good if they offered to check and let me know. Food and coffee when it came was ok but the service needs attention.

Mediocre at best. Service was warm, however the food could be better. Acceptable prices for the only cafe near the caves.

Overpriced because... they can - there are no other places to get food

The mist horrible burger you can have in your life!!
Taste horrible with rotten salad leaves and sad tomatoes and old onions.

Bring food with you instead! Spent over one hundred dollars all together — refused to give us water to fill up bottles; charged 50c per tomato sauce sachet — despite all we ordered. Food was pretty bad too.

Coffee was lukewarm and bitter. Got given old rubbery chips while someone who ordered 2 minutes before us got chips that were piping hot. Went up to ask for a fresh serve because the chips were genuinely inedible and the staff rolled their eyes. Prices were insanely high, $13 dollars for an almond croissant. Toilets are also disgusting.

My daughter got food poisoning from the chicken being undercooked and she spent the whole night throwing up 🤮 It definitely wasn’t worth the price ☹☹Too bad we didn’t look at the reviews 😕

While the coffees were good service was poor, and the mango muffin would have to be the worst muffin I've eaten. Waited a long time for order to come out(had to ask where it was, as did others in the cafe) when it did come out was not what was ordered and the were not happy about me not taking it. They did eventually give me what I ordered. Looking at other reviews it's clear no change to customer service had been made. Next time we visit the caves we will be bringing our own food and telling others to do the same.

Staff were rude, price for the meat pie was $5 on the blackboard sign and they charged $7.50 and when questioned they said prices have gone up and they have been to busy to change the sign, not only that but the tone of voice and customer service was pathetic. We had to wait 30 minutes and go back to the counter to ask for someone to “hand” a Mrs Macs meat pie over the counter because they were “so busy”. It’s not the price it’s the lack of customer service and coming from a hospitality and retail background you don’t argue with customers especially when it’s your error for simply not taking two seconds to remove a small chalkboard sign from above the pie warmer.

Service is very bad, although a tourist hotspot, there is a lot of racism towards foreigners and non "whites". Would not recommend going here ever.

The customer service was bad because the people who served us were racist even though we were patient and understanding to them.

Lunch took over an hour and even when most other people who ordered after me had gone we still waited. Waste of time as the food was terrible. I poured the excess oil off the pizza which tasted horrible and my sons toastie they ran out of bread for even though the sandwiches were there when I ordered it! The prices they charge I expected much better!
