This is the legitimately the best-kept campground my family has ever been to.
Everything is kept in immaculate condition including showers and even the outdoor kitchen is spotless!
Wonderful playground for the kids and plenty of bathroom blocks!
We will be back.

Penrose Park Silverton is a must stay caravan park so much room here it's crazy you do no feel hemmed in. The toilet and shower facilities are really good and great hot showers. No problem for wheelchair access either. Very good rates for powered and non powered even cabins here. Very close to Silverton just have to walk across the creek and you are there. Can have fires for those cold nights. There is playgrounds and slides everywhere also a canon and an old train to climb all over for the kids. Great place to stop.

What a stay, so quiet and very clean and interesting campground and dog friendly.
We stayed two nights and used a powered site very close to the amenities.
The care taker was amazing, helpful and friendly making things just even sweeter.
Only thing and its not a go at the care taker, for us because we have a full off road caravan was the road in and out, because our van is much taller than most we needed to be very careful under the trees, just clearing a bit higher would make it easier.
Thanx to everybody that helped upgrade the campsite very recently you did a amazing job.
Cheers

This park is set in the historical Silverton Recreation Area. Amenities were excellent and staff most helpful. Park was quiet with plenty of room to get vans in and out of sites.
Short walk across the creek to the town.

A jewel in Silverton's accomodation crown
Many thanks to Adam and Marie for their hospitality and assistance.

Having only recently taken over the park management they are both making a concerted effort to further develop the parks facilities.

The park boasts modern facilities with multiple amenities blocks, toilets and cooking areas.

A modern children's playground for the kids, new Pavilion for entertaining/relaxing.

Value for money accommodation 👍

Had a lovely stay at Penrose Park. We booked for 3 nights in a powered camping site but stayed 4 as it was in such a quiet tranquil spot. The sites were allocated on a "first in, best dressed" basis. Sites were mostly level.

The caretaker was very nice and helpful, nothing was a problem.

The amenities were kept clean and recently upgraded.

It's a 5 minute walk to Silverton pub.

Bring your own drinking water as local water is untreated.

We have been here twice in the last year and a half( from Goolwa South Aus) and we are planning to stay again at Christmas time this year . It really is one of our fav places to stay. It’s so peaceful and I think it’s visually beautiful. Lots of animal life especially birds and the huge green trees on the bright red dirt was just stunning.
Management was lovely and we got to pick our own powered sites which was fantastic.
We were self contained so didn’t use amenities, however I had a sticky beak inside them and they were very clean.
It’s only a short walk into the township of Silverton, a wonderful historic town, and about 25 mins from Broken Hill.
There is a fantastic undercover Playground for the kids and an old train and canon on the grounds. As mentioned by many others on here there is so much space between sites that you feel really comfortable and not boxed in like a lot of caravan and camping parks.. Honestly I can’t rate this park high enough and we seriously can’t wait to stay here again. ( we think we are going to make this our annual stop every Christmas. If serenity and peacefulness in a gorgeous authentic Outback setting is your thing you are absolutely going to love this place. Even if it isnt you are still going to love it 😍 a real gem❤

Great place to stay and also a good location. Host was easy about payments and good with communicating. Showers and toilets were clean and well kept. There was a new BBQ/kitchen area that had a drinking water tap which was a nice addition to the area.

A very helpful and friendly owner and good basic facilities in a lovely location. I like that the trees have their species name next to them. The site is a short walk across the creek from Silverton. However the walk back from the pub in the dark was interesting🤠 I saw plenty of wildlife around here including some very curious kangaroos that came within a few feet of my van during the night.

A last minute decision to stay here overnight and it was great! Rustic with plenty of space. Playground for the kids, toilets that are well kept and dogs are allowed. Highly recommend for a quite night or few.

Awesome camping experience. Hot showers and flushing toilets, good burning hardwood was also available on site. Plenty of room to choose a quiet spot and enjoy the serenity, easy to forget that you're camping in a caravan park.

For the very reasonable price this is a truly awesome place to stay we got that real outback feel experience. Totally appreciating our fresh water tanks over the three nights 🚱. Penrose park basic facilities are all there and it's very well kept by a polite young lady. Its nice and spread out unlike your usual site grid layouts. Great for bike riding around the park and into town if you have bindii proofed your tyres. Take some cash out and support this town and it's services.
