I didn’t know mad Max was filmed here. But it is the perfect spot to watch the sunset with some cheese and wine. Once the sun goes down, you can stargaze.

A great lookout with an excellent view of the surrounding area. Not far out of Silverton. A definately must see.

Great little lookout over the area. You can almost visualise the scenes from the Mad Max movies occurring on the main road. We went daytime but I think sunset would be the best time if you're after some great photos.

It's good to visit the place where some of The Mad Max scenes has been filmed. Spectacular view especially on a sunset.

A few minutes drive from Silverton Hotel. Good short distance spot to look at the outback of NSW. It will be great to be there at sunset or sunrise but I was there in the afternoon.

Beautiful roadside spot to watch the sunset over the outback and see the curvature of the earth on the horizon.

There are no facilities out there, just a big dirt road side car park.

Highly suggest to bring a chair, snacks and some beverages.

Must do when in Broken Hill. Take chairs if you have them - and something to drink whilst watching a magnificent sunset. Don’t get there too early - maybe 30 minutes before sunset

Very scenic and desolate place. Loved the view. We were lucky cuz there was only 1 car woth us so not to many people. I imagine the view would be much more dramtic during sunset or sunrise and in summer.

A beautiful sunset lookout... the best view to be seen. Beautiful photo opportunities and is better to go than looking at the sunset from the living dessert as the whole area is clear.

Have made the journey from Geelong to here a couple of times now, something so magical and other worldly about this place. Definitely come for the sunset, hopefully it’s a mostly clear sky, bring your camera and enjoy the free natural show.

Keep an eye out for the Road Warrior Max.

If you travel to Broken Hill then make sure you visit Silverton. Mund Mundi Lookout is 5 minutes out of town. Worth a look to observe curvature of the earth.

A MUST visit if you’re in Silverton! The views are spectacular. I’ve never seen anything quite like this in my life. You can see miles and miles in almost every direction.

Very easy to access from Broken Hill. Give great views and left me with the impression of how vast Australia is. Well worth stopping for.

An absolute must if you ever visit the Broken Hill area.
Located 28klm from Broken Hill, the Mundi Lundi lookout showcases the desolate beauty of outback Australia. Overlooking the pastoral lands of Mundi Mundi station, this scenery has been made famous by Mad Max 2, and Mission Impossible.
Sunsets here are simply sublime as you watch the sun slide silently below the horizon, and highlights the redness of the desert.
Has to be seen to believed.

What a view... you can almost see into the never never. Well worth the drive. My wife found a Florin 1946 in a place where nobody would have been for years. Her own piece of silver.
