Went twice to the branch to cancelled my credit card. First I was told that I have to wait until the pending transaction settled, which I can understand. Even though I had pay off the transaction.
Went back few days later only to be told they can't help me because there's annual fee of $249. It was already there when I came in at the first place.
One of the customer service told me that I have to pay the annual fee, only then my credit card can be cancelled. And no, I won't get refund for it.
So In order to cancelled the service that I no longer needed, I have to pay annual fee of $249?
I've decided to contact CBA by phone through the app. After nearly an hour waiting on the phone, finally I can speak with the real person. The customer service person solved my problem within minutes. I only need to tell her that I wanted to closed my credit card account. Problem solved. Next time I wont be bother going into this branch
