One of the best spot to see sunset and stargaze.

It's got a droppy, 3 separate sitting areas with cooking equipped campfires and a 'you bewt' central fireplace. The view of the ranges when visibility is good is breathtaking. This spot would serve as a great base if you're coming to the high plains with a sizable group in the off season. All roads to this spot are closed over winter.

Good campsite base for MTB exploration of huts and nearby trails.

Sunset bush camp with pit drop loo. Small water tank connected to the outhouse. Come prepared and self sufficient as whole Falls Creek has a small IGA, in summer it only carries basic supplies, and nearest fuel is Mt Beauty or Omeo.

Spacious idyllic campground, more convenient for those towing trailers or vans, as easier to turn or manoeuvre. But can be rather exposed to strong westerly winds.

Excellent free camping. Roads closed in winter. Even the Toyota 86 can get in.

This is a well-drained campsite close to Mt Cope and suitable for all styles of camping. You will need your own water as there is no creek or river. The single, drop-toilet was clean and not smelly. The ranger periodically provides toilet paper but you will need to bring your own as it will run out. The views were quite nice but not spectacular. I would imagine it could be a bit windy at times in contrast to another campsite 500m downhill with plenty of tree cover. I would recommend this campsite except in very hot or windy weather.

On the Boogong high plains above Falls creek on the way to Omeo is this rest stop...smack bang in the middle of the Snow line in the high Victorian Alps... plenty of firewood and fantastic phone reception...toilet is here..good camping firepits ..weather is unpredictable here and could snow at any time ..very isolated very dangerous and lots of tight corners on the road maximum concentration needed to make it in one piece to Omeo...expect cold and cloud cover heavy mist fog and rain ...have survival supplies if something goes wrong as traffic is thin up there
