Off The Rails Accommodation and Willangi Bush Escapes

In the middle of a paddock, in a town almost in the middle of nowhere! It's great! The amount of care put into the carriages and surrounds by the owners is fantastic.
The place has a real sense of nostalgia about it. It's very clean (a bit of dust has to be expected, but it's not from lack of cleaning), and everything is well looked after.

Our second stay at Off the Rails accommodation. Its a very unique B & B. Very quaint, quiet & comfortable located on the outskirts of town. All carriages are tastefully decorated with generous breakfast provisions. Hosts Neil & Antoinette were very friendly & helped us with our tour plans. Looking forward to our next stay at Peterborough.

If you love trains you will love staying in a beautifully refurbished 20th carriage with 21st century comforts. The host Antoinette was lovely, really enjoyed it and would definitely come back again. We've already spread the word and our friends have already made a booking!

Very comfortable stay in the carriages in quiet area, air con tv, toaster, microwave, fridge. Nice breakfast provided, beds comfortable and carriages quite roomy. Lovely hosts would definitely stay again when were in Peterborough

Beautiful, clean and welcoming accommodation.
Everything you need had been supplied with a wonderful array of drinks, fresh milk, biscuits, lollies.
Nothing has been left to spare.
Beds are comfy with electric blankets, fluffy towels and lots of toiletries.
We woke up to a beautiful sunrise and sat on the veranda at the table and chairs and listened to the birds, enjoying the peace and quiet.
Couldn’t recommend this quiet little get away more highly.

What a wonderful Bnb just a couple hundred metres or so from town. Set in 2 early 1900s rail carriages rooms are for 2 or a family. Continental breakfast is provided for your whole stay. The room is stocked with small jams coffee tea etc to use on your stay. Extra soft bed to sleep well. And the quiet is very welcoming.

We stayed in the "Off The Rails" B&B. It's an old converted train carriage. Really cute and comfortable. They were clean and very well done up and maintained. Antoinette - our host - was very friendly and chatty. All in all very cozy and unique place to stay.

Absolute highlight of our trip. Got to cook dinner in the Shearer's kitchen, how cool is that!? Cosy yet roomy carriage, a unique experience that we thoroughly enjoyed.

The train accommodation was lovely. Well stocked with tea and coffee and wide selection of cereals for breakfast. Beds are very comfortable.

Faultless. Beautiful accommodation in restored railway carriages. Every amenity thought of and provided, along with stunning sunsets as an added bonus. Highly recommended.

One of Australia's great hidden Gems in Outback SA
When travelling South from Hawker to Melbourne we were fortunate enough to find the lovely Antoinette and Phil Sleep that own this incredible little piece of what makes our country so great. It reinforces the reason we travel and hit the road with no fixed plan or place to stop. Awesome accomodation that is so much fun for the kids on a beautiful acreage just outside of Peterborough away from the population , motels or caravan parks. You can have a camp fire but the biggest thing of all that will BLOW YOUR MIND....is their incredible Australiana Collection sitting in the huge shed. Full of century old bits of gear , old bottles and well check out the photos but this is something to show your kids and watching my 9 year old get his head around a 75 year old type writer was rather hilarious because of course he's comparing it to an iPad. Wonderful friendly people and top notch service - do not hesitate - stay here and allow at least 2 hours to wander through their amazing museum - HIGHLY RECOMMEND.Show less

This is our third time here camped once stayed in the train carages twice the 4 wheel tracks are great we will be back. Owners are fantastic.

So many 4WD tracks to choose from. Awesome camping spots with clean facilities. Great hosts. Will definately be back again soon.

What can i say this place is excellent the rooms are fantastic you want for nothing it leaves motel rooms to shame i would highly recommend this accommodation to anybody just loved my stay and wanted for nothing every thing you can think of is in these rooms you sdhould be very proud of ypur accommodation
