Eastern Building Group built our new home in 2021. We initially almost signed with a different project builder, however felt pressured into signing and had some reservations about the cost and quality of the build.
We then did a lot of research into custom builders, and came across Eastern Building Group (EBG), who had a vast portfolio and came highly recommended.
From our initial EBG introduction with Chris, we were welcomed by a friendly team. The tender process was extremely thorough, and EBG gave us a highly competitive and comprehensive quote. We had no reservations about signing with them.
During the build, we had constant and positive communication with our Supervisor and all tradespeople. The quality of workmanship was second to none, and no problem was too big to solve. We had a collaborative approach between the Builder, Tradespeople, Suppliers, and ourselves, and the end result is our dream home which we couldn't be happier with! Thank you, Eastern Building Group, for building us the home of our dreams (in a timely, affordable and positive manner). We have recommended EBG to several friends, who are also now building through them which is a testament to the quality and professionalism of this company.

We are the owners of the West Beach property. Build started March of 2021 and we moved in Feb 2022

In a nutshell, the process was fairly painless and Eastern managed to pull it all together in less than 12 months during the peak-pandemic period, including a large swimming pool.

At completion, we had an independent inspection done which was mostly positive with only a handful of minor issues which Eastern resolved with appropriate (and relative) urgency. A year on and no other major issues worth mentioning have arisen.

My advice to new home-builders is be pragmatic with your expectations. No builder is perfect and there will be issues, that's almost guaranteed. The difference really is how hard your builder will work for you to make sure they get resolved as quickly as possible. So with that in mind, we would certainly build with Eastern again in future and have no reservations in recommending them to others.

Built my family home in the busiest of times with low resources available in the industry and managed to get some of the best trades in Adelaide. Allowed for multiple changes during the process for a tailored service. If there was any issues which is only natural when building, they address it with integrity. Very honest and upfront about costs so no hidden surprises.

Professional , quality Adelaide builder to say the least , that goes the extra mile to keep customers informed and happy . We had an overall very positive experience in building with EBG. They have a very professional, knowledgeable and helpful team. We did not experience any issues or stress all throughout the process. Their price is very reasonable and can compete even with project builders but the quality is superior. We had 8 very close quotations but theirs came out the best one because we took into consideration the overall standard inclusions (other builders will give you a low quotation but will charge you every little detail which is in EBG's standard inclusion). Other builders also charge as high as double the price for upgrades (example: LED downlights).

Apart from the price, their team is excellent. George patiently answered my 2-page word document full of questions regarding the quotation. Amy (love her!) is amazing. Before we even signed the contract we were given 5 minutes with her and in that short span of time she was able to help us on how we could make our house facade look better (our design was not done by them). During the selection process, she gave us valuable insights and was not pushy and was very patient which made us feel really comfortable knowing that she wanted us to be happy with our selections before signing it off. Danny (director) was our building supervisor and he was great. Allison was also very helpful in dealing with our correspondences post and during construction. The result is a house that we love and we always get very nice feedback from people who get to see the house.

We always recommend EBG to people we know and I know a colleague who is building 2 houses with them now and she is happy so far.

So far so good. These are tricky times to build a new home and we felt that the particularly organised structured process with "the team" at Eastern Building Group is much more likely to get the plans down and tradespersons scheduled for our build. No doubt there will be challenges ahead but we feel confident that the careful experienced management of these operations we are likely to get the home we need and relatively on time.
