Sip'n Save - Great Eastern Hotel

Great staff, friendly service, and drive-through. What more can you want from a local? Sure, prices aren't what you will find at Dan Murphys but it's a port of call on the way home after work. Can and do go the extra mile when you have the odd request. Occasional specials help, as do the odd raffle for charities. Live local, shop local.

All of the staff at Sip'n Save are excellent and I am pleased to see such a large selection of local wines on offer! This will always be my local bottle-o!

Easy entrance and access from the road and exiting is just as good. Really wide lanes to drive thru or stop and browse. Big selection of Beer, Wine and Spirits etc. Friendly helpful staff who are knowledgeable and are familiar with where their products are located in the store. Competitive prices and good specials. As the Sip and Save is attached to the Great Eastern Hotel definitely stop in and have a great meal. Their food is delicious or maybe just have a drink at the bar.

Staff we're great. The food was awesome with large portions. I had the BBQ pork spare ribs and they we're delicious and tender. A little bit more salad or a few more chips to break the taste would have been good.

First time and most likely last time. Food overall was quite good, service fair. Chefs arrogant and do not treat customers with respect when there is a problem with the food. As a paying customer no matter how big or small if the quality is poor you apologise and do something about it. You don't serve dirty, brown core bits of lettuce in the salad and act like it's nothing.
Who knows what else happens in the kitchen that customers are eating and the chefs show no pride or care. Extremely disappointed because we used to go to Chappy's and loved it.

I thought I bought a 700ml bottle of Jim Beam today for $44. At the counter, the staff asked if I wanted a 1-litre, and I clearly said, "Nah, this one is fine." I didn't realize my mistake until I got home and discovered I had purchased the 1-litre bottle. I picked it up from the location marked as 700ml; I should have checked. The staff conned me into buying a 1-litre bottle. I hope the staff sees this because I will never be buying from this joint again.
