Hogwash Bend Conservation Park

So good to be able to camp there again. Please put your fires out when you leave. We had to pour water on 2 hot fire pits. Mostly clean except a few grotty people not burying their no. 2's and loo paper. Probably was full over Easter but we arrived on the Monday so plenty of space.

Marvellous. Bit soft underfoot for our 2wd. Plenty of space.

After the high Murray River water, the river level has preceded sufficiently for camping in the higher areas. The beach area is still unusable.
The whole area is generally quite silty and sticky under foot.

Always a good spot for free camping.

This, place is AWESOME! Although, not sure if only happening now due to the recent floods? There, is an old man which will come down and, " WARN YOU THAT HE WILL CALL THE POLUCE IF YOU DO NOT LEAVE IMMEDIATELY? HE, WILL TELL YOU HOGWASH BEND IS CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER? The, ploice attended while we were there 2wks ago but said and did nothing? They also came down this weekend gone but did nothing? We, were told by the old man that there were huge blocks on the road? There was nothing blocking the road? So, i would just ignore him as we all did as he warned everyone there not just our group ? When we got there, we found a group already camped at a site. So, we found a site and unpacked for the overnight stay.7 ppl, 4 separate cars, 4 YAKS and one dog all set. Water, was still a bit high but nothing to be concerned about ? Beautiful scenery, tranquility and overall great place, lots of areas to explore, marked trail, not too far from Cadell township. Within, reach of Morgan ferry service , heaps of carp fun and plenty of fresh air

True Grit for the 2nd time. The atmosphere is great. Food vans are amazing, and the wine and Sangrias from Caudo vineyard are awesome 👌🏽
