The United Albion Mine Site

Beautiful place to explore. Drop toilets were clean and park staff empty fire pits. The camping area is small and can get quite full on a public holiday but overall awesome! We stayed on (father's day)Sunday and Monday

Tucked in the Brisbane ranges is this fascinating old mining site. Some ruins and lots of quartz.

Rich in minerals and history, very interesting

A small number of ruins left here with the major one right at the carpark. As you wander around the area there is signs of other buildings that once stood in the vicinity.
This spot is a short drive from Fridays campsite and is a good walk from the campsite. Well worth the visit if you are exploring the gold mining history in the area.

This used to be a large mining concern, but little remains but some brick footings and level patches where buildings once stood. It's worth being here to reflect on the endeavours of our mining forefathers in a time when any lucky worker could suddenly become rich.

Peaceful site,a few old building ruins still visible.lots of birdlife.

On face value, just a spot. Nothing much. But with history in context: absolutely mindblowing and amazing spot.
