What an amazing personalised tour we had with Greg. His passion and knowledge about the history and geology of the mine and the surroundings made it a wonderful experience for us. Highly recommend doing his tour. Hoping to come back someday to bring our kids.

Greg was extremely knowledgeable, and was quite the storyteller! The way he described life in the 1850s was so detailed; I learnt a lot. As well as this, the history of the gold mine is really awesome, and nothing can beat seeing the location in person. This was just an overall amazing experience, and I can't recommend it enough.

From start to finish this was a fascinating history of the 1800 gold rush era. The story is passionately presented by Greg and culminates in his amazing mine. The mine was hand cut into a hill to reach the quartz and gold reef on a tectonic plate. Greg's passion and research on this topic is second to none. This is a must do if visiting this area.

Greg was exceptional. For such a low cost tour you could be expecting a low value tour, but it was the exact opposite. This tour is a hidden gem and well worth your time, you will not be disappointed. What Greg has done to setup this tour is outstanding. Greg will take you for a short trip around town before heading out to his mine. Along the way he'll fill you in on some local stories of the gold rush around Yak including a couple of infamous bar operators and why his mine is there in the first place.

Great tour if you have any interest at all in gold mining history. Excellent value for the money.

Absolutely brilliant tour. Greg has put in thousands of hours of time researching the history of gold mining at Yackandandah and followed the path of some of the most notable characters during the town's 30 year long gold rush. He's personally qualified in several government regulated industries solely to be able to share his passion for this fascinating historic period and bought a gold mine!
You couldn't wish for more detail or knowledge on a subject and I can't recommend this tour highly enough, next time we're close to Yackandandah we'll certainly attend the your again.
