It's been more than a month since we visited, but we still remember Sue' warmth and hospitality. She prepared lots of toys for our toddler so we could enjoy our meal. As she said, "happy kid, happy parents." We loved the food, ambience, and the fairy garden at the back. Even the toilet was very kid-friendly! Upon learning that our daughter's name means fairy, Sue gave us a couple of tokens to start our own fairy garden. Highly recommended. Hope you get to see your own grandkids very soon, Sue! All the best.

We stopped at Loch on our way back to Melbourne from The Prom. What a delight to find the Rustic Fork - a delightful cafe restaurant beautifully furnished and with THE BEST service ever! A delightful couple with the most positive attitude even after having endured impacts from the bushfires, a flood and COVID. The salted calamari was delicious, served with chips and a full size salad with a fabulous dressing. We will definitely be back.

A must do stop in for lunch in Loch. Super Fresh, made - to - order food with very friendly service. If you like Calamari then you must order the Sweet Chilli Prawns and Calamari Salad. I had it minus the prawns, and I tell you what, best calamari I've had in a long time! Great local beers in the fridge too, try the Drowned Man in a can if you like IPA's, nice caramel flavours, delish! A gorgeous setup in side, very cosy and comfortable. Thanks @RusticFork, keep doing what you're doing :) - Laura X

Awesome restaurant. From start to finish the personal touches were a standout - colouring books and pencils for the kids, quick food service, delicious food (don’t skip dessert), great coffee - they they even brought free baby chinos for the kids! Super friendly staff and a great location. Highly recommended.

Beautiful food. Very attentive service and lovely polite staff. Will definitely be going back. Well done guys!! Just what we need in this little town.

My first review was as we were getting back to a little normality during covid. There were only a very limited number of people in the restaurant. Since then we have been back when the place was full. It took us 45 minutes before anyone came near us. No drinks, no order no nothing. There was only one person on the floor seating people, taking and serving drinks and food orders. Very very disappointed. Nearly walked out due to lack of service. After nearly tripping the waitress over, we were able to place our drinks and food orders...together. All we heard her say to all the customers all night wasa, "sorry" "Sorry we are very busy" As we had to book they would' ve known how many people to expect so should have staff to cater for the large work load. Im disappointed and not sure if we will go back. I love to support these small businesses but I do require service. The food was still good but on this occasion I would rate them at TWO AND A HALF STARS.

Great little cafe - recently changed owners - doing a great job during difficult times. We enjoyed a warm country welcome and hospitality. With surprisingly good coffee to boot!

Warm and friendly hosts and delicious food all cooked fresh on the premises, which is a stand out in Loch. Cakes are homemade and too die for. Loved this cafe/restaurant.

Would not recommend, especially on busy days and the platters.

Would not recommend this place. We decided to give a new business in the area a go but was sadly disappointed by the attitude of the staff and the food. The menu is very limited and the prices reflect this... quite expensive. We were sitting in the outdoor courtyard waiting on our food when the waitress yelled at us to move as that table was reserved... the sign was not obvious that it was reserved.
We were then served up a very unappetising dish of thawed prawns languishing in a sea of some sort of sauce, accompanied by a handful of lettuce and a cherry to late cut in half. Not what i expected for $18.50!
My husband had an equally unappetising bacon burger which he ended up feeding to the dog.
Coffee was watery and Luke warm.. which reflected the entire experience we had here.
All in all... a dining experience i will not repeat. Should have gone to our usual place down the road.

If you would like to pay $60 for a seafood platter comprised entirely of thawed, fresh-from-a-packet trash, look no further then the Rustic Fork!

Noticed that the place is at barely quarter capacity? Assumed that this would mean you would have your order taken within 30 minutes? And your food in under 90 minutes? Think again! This is the Rustic Fork you're talking about!

From the other reviews, I can only guess that the cakes are decent, and if it's mid-day and you're the only patron, it seems they may make time to serve you, but--and I say this with the utmost sincerity--I truly believe the Rustic Fork should halt dinner services until they learn how to turn the stove on.
