Had a great time. Enjoyed the wildlife visiting. Was a full house but everybody was respectfull of each other. Toilets were clean and ample toilet paper.

Fantastic spot! Very nice little bush camp,

Unfortunately woken by a lady having a very VERY good time at 3am & 4am TWICE!
It was certainly quite the show!
A very early wake up in the Moaning!

It has been upgraded with toilets, marked campsite areas, picnic tables, fire pits and BBQ pits - You need to book online or by phone via Parks-Victoria ... Huge improvement from the days of ''do as you please'' campsite; that resulted in damage to the environment, nature and to basic campsite infrastructure that was once there, not to mention littering. Parks-Victoria Park Rangers do patrol, can issue fines and monitor the area daily - Police can be called for any anti-social behaviour anytime and especially during long week-ends and school holidays.

It's a free camping ground in the middle of the forest with no facilities but with plenty of room. It's only 20mins away from Anglesea.

Great camp ground, some sites are small but we'll spaced, very clean drop dunnys, byo wood for a fire, it's scarce on the ground.

Great campsite with fire pits and toilets. A number of great improvement to how this site was a few years back. We will return for sure!

Great camp sites, good fire pits and clean dunny (BYO firewood as there is sweet FA lying around) A good spot to camp for some otway motorbike riding.

Great site, close to Melbourne and tidy facilities. If only the site was level 😀

Great facilities, perhaps notice board with maps and local info would be good.

Great free campsite, toilets are fine. Lose a star due to no rainwater tank to wash hands after 🤣 picky, I know.

We saw a wild koala in a really low tree right next to the camping area!
Nice free camp amongst lots of tall trees.
Bush loo was clean. No shower (which is normal for a free camp).
Not many parking spaces for campervans or caravans - from memory, only about four or five parking spaces for these types of vehicles. Plus, about six or eight car parking spaces for the people using the tents only area.
We arrived around 5:00 to 5:30pm and it filled up within about half an hour of our arrival. This was on 12 January 2016.
Kangaroos all around at dusk too.
Please be extra careful with your fires in summer! There are fire pits at the campground but please put out your fire before you go to sleep. Out-of-control bush fires are super common in Victoria in summer.

Great free spot, mayb 15 sites, parking fireplaces, toilets, BYO wood, wallaroos nearby, break parrots to sit on your hand, not so many flat spots and a rain r hut is always handy, (paid site is just up the road cosy with grassy areas)

Stopped through here on a day trip. Decent toilets for a camp-site and plenty of spots. Will come back and camp.
