Lunatic Hotel Drake

Absolutely amazing place with awesome people, everyone makes you feel welcome, the food is great pub food & the pool games are free plus the beer is cold & served to you by great bar staff. 🤩

Great little country pub and a good place for a regroup while out on our bikes.

I recently visited the Drake Pub, and I must say, it was a great experience overall. The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, especially the lamb cutlets and steak!, which I highly recommend.

Overall, I had a wonderful time at the Drake Pub and would definitely come back for another visit.

Pulled up after a hail storm , power went out but no worries the crew had it sorted. No internet access as the storm had taken it out. Publican let me use the landline.

Loved the Lunatic including our amusement from the resident nutter, who held audience from the "big chair" with a few of the local brain surgeons. FFS he never drew a breath for an hour...then right on que, just as lunch was served, old mate decided to give the zero turn mower a run...I think as a distraction from the drivel oozing forth from the nutters raucous mouth and old mate at the table next to us, who felt he needed to share his work conflab with us for ½ an hr. Pity there's no volume control on either.
Not sure if the well dressed indigenous lady sitting on the edge of the garden was part of nutters audience but she was polite and wished us a safe drive. Thanks sweetie.
Our burgers were terrific, chips cooked perfect, beer cold with a good head and loved the memorabilia.
10/10.

Stopped in to order some food along our journey . The burgers are better then the dog n bull in bonalbo that's for sure whoever the publican has there cooking is doing a good job 👏 . Will be back

Has been a great little pub while I waited out for borders to open. Very welcoming, nice meals, friendly locals. If governments can finally stop trying to prevent the spread and allow us the freedom of interstate travel without restrictions I'll definitely be back as I love to explore this beautiful nation...

Had an unreal night with the staff and locals on a full moon.
It is very apt being called the Lunatic Hotel, but in a very endearing way.
Tash in the bar was so welcoming and professional.
Phil and Nikki run a fun but tight ship and make everyone feel welcome.
Clean but basic accommodation is perfect for an experience in a small village you will never forget.
Thanks to all the team and especially the incredible laugh a minute locals.

Fantastic country pub. Small motel at rear. Publican allow us to camp overnight so we paid for a shower, meal and a couple of drinks. Friendly staff and patrons. 5 star charm.

Ran out of petrol today in Drake NSW.
Walked into the Lunatic Hotel/Motel and asked if anyone had some spare petrol.
The publican put his hand up straight away and said he would give me his lawn mowing petrol telling me the lawn could wait.
It was enough petrol to get us to Tenterfield to the nearest petrol station.
I offered him 100 bucks and he would only take 50.
Without his generosity I have no idea what we would have done.
I am very grateful to the publican of the Lunatic Hotel/Motel as I imagine everyone in Drake is as well.

Good feed, friendly staff and patrons. If you're driving through make sure you stop for a feed or the night. 👍 Well worth the stop.

every patron has a dog trotting around behind them there's more local yocals than teeth, but the burgers are great, the service is caring and attentive, the beer is cold and refreshing, its well worth the visit.

This was the pub where I had a quick comfort stop. While I was washing my hands I saw in the mirror a dingo coming out of a cubicle. The locals were so friendly and the beer was cold. Perfect Australia!
