Hubby and I stopped into the pub for lunch today. He had the Rib Fillet Steak Sandwich & Chips and I had the Cattleman's Burger & Chips. Best pub feed we have had for awhile and we didn't wait long either. Thanks Killarney Pub!

Waited a long time to visit after reading great reviews. Our experience not so good. Big jumps in pricing from the reviews we'd read too. Our chicken schnitzel wasn't a schnitzel - a schnitzel is a prime cut of meat pounded flat, lightly crumbed, cooked until light golden and traditionally served with black pepper and lemon. Seems pretty simple, right? Ours should have been described on the menu as a small chunk of very densely crumbed chicken meat which spends a tot too long in the fryer presented bare with no seasoning - there's nothing whatsoever wrong with patrons being entitled to know what they're ordering! Tasted a bit strange too - neither good nor bad ... just unexpected. 200G rump although well cooked had been neither rested nor seasoned, and it too tasted a bit unexpected. Little flavour, and one you could do much better at home. Salads were good, chips OK, but serving sizes on the small side, and we seriously considered visiting the "top shop" on the way to the falls to top up a bit for our bushwalk! We expected better from what appears to be a popular bush pub ... we'll give this place a miss now.
