Top Pub in historic Port Adelaide. Beer and spirit prices very good and relaxed atmosphere inside main bar or beer garden.

Friendly and helpful staff. Gave me a tasting of their cider on tap before buying. It was a cross between a light beer and cider. Nice. Menu had lots of gluten free and vegan options and a variety of choices but not too many to complicate things. The band was just starting to warm up and the place was starting to get busy when we left. One little historical pub in the heart of Port Adelaide you must try.

This historic pub offers a variety on great food. It's also a venue with regular entertainment and arts & craft workshops.
Back to food: big serves, daily specials (Schnitzels Day is Thursdays: 2 for 1 incl. chips and salad). If you aren't overly hungry it's normal to just order a bowl of chips or wedges.

Great Old Hotel, just like it should be. Great friendly staff (Fred, Sue, Janette & Kaz). I pop in hear all the time, for many years, Nice old style pub (no stainless steel crap). Good pub meals, nice atmosphere, cold beer, what more do you want. Definitely worth having a beer and lunch. Cheers Colin M.

Super accomodating. Squeezed us in at the last moment. We had a quick meal. Yummy schnitzel and salmon which was perfectly cooked. Wished we booked to watch the band.

This Hotel is an old authetic Port pub offering okay pub food. Its strength is it provides good live entertainment and has a large live music following including karaoke Wonderful staff in expensive pub to drink at.

I had the best salt and pepper calamari I had ever eaten, my friend had the best chicken schnitzel too. We overheard another patron saying his bangers and mash was exceptional!

I come here from time to time for lunch. It's a nice historic Port Adelaide pub and like a treasure chest, when you go there browse around and enjoy the photos of the old Port days and decoration and a nice meal.
To the meals: I never was disappointed, it's good traditional food, prepared and served with love. Last time I ordered a Tuna-Steak, I tell you it was so yummie and lovely presented that it could have been cooked by a three-star (-> Michelin Guide) chef !
Thanks to Fred, Sue & team for the always warm and friendly welcome and the excellent meals.
p.s.: ....and don't forget to check out the huge steak, I did and it was perfect I even dare to say it was the best steak in town!

great pub, great live music, especially on a saturday arvo! head down if you can to get a true slice of what the port has to offer, you won't be disappointed, if you are, stick to north adl where the prices are as high as peoples hair!

The pub was very old world, with an open fire and very friendly staff. I had a senior's meal and my partner had the full serve. Both meals were plenty for a mid-day meal!
Basically, I'll be back!

I'm not a beer drinker as a rule but this pub has the coldest beer on tap...yummy...the only way to have a beer and the staff were great and there were water bowls everywhere outside for dogs and they are allowed out the back in the beer garden...next time we will be out the back with Poppy our pooch....she lives being allowed anywhere on any premises .... and the raspberry cordial in my beer was great....cheers

Great old pub with a modern touch, great meals, good serve sizes, and always a great place to share the old tales of the Port.

The Railway is by the way the only pub which ever had a shanghai tunnel from its cellar to the ships. But it had horse stables and a tale tells down there were someone burried which wasn't mentioned in the history of the pub and was also not confirmed by the former long-term publican of the place.
It was opposite of the station of Port Adelaide first railway.

I have to admit I have not been to the Port Adelaide are in some decades, we went for a Sunday lunch for a catch up with friends, pleasantly surprised I had forgotten how much history is in this area, our hosts John and Marie took great care of us and the music of the day was brilliant.
Loved it.
