I spent a pleasant hr or so with Nigel, the owner, discussing our requirements for our caravan before the install. I sourced my own batteries through Power Paul Australia.

Nigel is very knowledgeable and very good at setting you up with what you need to suit your requirements, not what he can sell you.
Nigel has his own van setup with the same equipment, so he was able to give me real world experiences.

They needed the van there for 3 days for the install. Once the install was done his team and Nigel himself made sure I was familiar with the new equipment and shown and explained how to operate before I left with our van.

This company comes highly recommended. The neatness of the install, the quality of the equipment and the service, in my opinion, is second to none.

After travelling around Australia for almost a year, I finally decided that my solar setup wasn't as efficient as it could be. After speaking with several different people about my issues (namely the makers of my solar controller, on multiple occasions), I was no closer to a solution.

After arriving in Tasmania, I just couldn't take it any more so decided to give the folks at DES a call, based on their great reviews. I'm SO glad that I did. After several phonecalls with Nigel, where he was incredibly patient and thorough in trying to help diagnose what might be going on, I decided to drop in and visit DES in person.

Within half an hour, Nigel had tested all components of my solar system, and was happy to do all of this and provide expert advice for no charge, despite spending a good chunk of time with us. In the end, we are happy to say that buying a second solar controller from him solved all our issues and nearly doubled our solar output!

If you need anything in regards to 12v solar, DES are amazing. Their customer service is literally second to none, and I'd feel confident that they could help with almost any issue your have.

10/10 we were very happy with the service offered by DES Electrical as everything was explained thoroughly and we were given options. As far as solar installations go we would not go past DES.

I reported a fuse problem at 8 a.m. The Technician arrived mid-morning as agreed and advised me of options without pressure. I elected to replace the fuse box.
An email quote was received within 30 minutes and the work completed that afternoon.
