Lanikai Camping Ground

What an amazing oasis! We absolutely loved camping here! Jim the owner is a great man, and loves to share with you about his property. It is well maintained, and he makes sure you have plenty of wood for fires and hot water at night for showers (via a wood stove!).

We enjoyed a lovely weekend here just last weekend. The owners are wonderful friendly people. The wood fired hot showers are great, and there is a great camp kitchen area to hide out if its a bit rainy. There are some great walks to do around the property down to the swimming hole. The only thing that kind of tricked us up was there are google photo's from people who have camped here in the past, that gave us the impression that there was a large dam, or maybe even river front access from the camping area. Those google photos are from years ago when the camping area used to be on the current owners parents property. There is no large dam on the property that you could use a canoe or SUP on the the property the campsite is on today. But it's still an awesome spot to relax, and there is a great swimming hole down at the creek.

If you're looking for a break away from it all this is the ideal campsite for you. Very friendly, helpful and hospitable hosts. Wonderful hot showers heated by woood fired boiler. Tap water for washing and boiling but you will need to bring your own drinking water. Bushwalks are marked and maintained but be sure to bring the rough map provided by your hosts. Great for birdlife, our group of approximately 20 people recored 93 species over a 3 day period

Love Lanikai. The family are all extremely helpful and abliging. Lovely quiet spot. Great toilet and showers. Great undercover area. A must for bird watchers.

if these stars could be hearts! we just loved it and will definately be going back for longer. there is a lot of love here. Thank you Jim and Lyn for caretaking the flora and fauna so beautifully.

Amazing little camp ground, great open camping areas and very well maintained with facilities and a hot shower after the day.
