Old Habits Cafe

Great breakfast and brunch place to hang out as well. Friendly staff.

Really like their menu and their dish presentation. The beetroot sauce really levitating the taste of smoked salmon. The chicken in the burger is very tender. Would like to come back again to have a try on other dishes.

I’ve driven past Old Habits Cafe many times, kept saying I need to try there, I need to go there.
I was reminded of its existence over the weekend and finally made a plan to go in.

WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?!?!

This cafe is vibing! It feels trendy without being pretentious; Melbourne feels with Adelaide appeals!

“Come to the dark side, we have coffee”

Little Groot figures dotted all over the place.
A shelf with free books - to swap or keep.
Colouring pages and pencils for the little ones.

Usual breakfast choices, brunch choices and a kids menu too.

“You can do it.” - Coffee.

I am lucky enough to have visited during the week, so it was quieter than what I imagine the weekends are.

Indoor and outdoor seating, limited seating but enough to be comfortable.

Table water and glasses readily available.

Menus on the table, order at the counter.

Friendly and cheery staff and you can see the kitchen!

Now, onto the food.

There’s a display cabinet with yummy looking sweets.

I ordered the Avo Toast and an apple juice.
(I amended my order to exclude eggs and add bacon).
Food and drink came out quickly and was visually appealing. Bacon was cooked to perfection and the amount wasn’t stingy either!

Luv this place. Staff are amazing and so is the coffee. Food good too, but I'd keep going even if the food wasn't good. I think what I love the most is that they don't rush you out the door.

Every time I come to Adelaide. This lovely Cafe has the best food and service. For my fussy family. Thank you again for a delicious bunch.

Great place to have breakfast brunch lunch... we took Açai bowl - really well made with tons of fruits & seeds totally guilt free indulgence... chicken burger was great tasting with very mellow chicken patty... chocolate milkshake was bit thin however really great tasting... and last but not least COFFEE long black was well crafted... well people don’t believe but black coffee has a significant taste and not everyone can pull it off ... so well done for the coffee ☕ 🤩

Only intended on grabbing some takeaway coffees for a meeting but I was ahead of schedule and stopped for pancakes. Lovely staff, delicious coffee and pancakes. Great work

Perfect breakfast place. Much much better than the breakfast places in city centre.

Checked the reviews and had to see for myself and was not let down. Ordered chicken schnitzel burger which was amazing & the Bucket size cappuccino, great coffee. We will defiantly be back

Awesome food, service, people, and atmosphere. I love coming to this cafe every time I’m in Adelaide and seeing the intricate menu changes along with the adaptive humour to relevant trends. 10/10 for these guys, put it on your list for Adelaide attractions - you won’t be disappointed.

We are a Print and Technology Wholesale based business in Royal Park and we often host in-house events where we provide food and coffee. We choose Old Habits Cafe to cater our events because Peter and the team offer terrific service, a fantastic menu, are consistently on time, and are quite affordable.

Another Perfect breakfast at the Perfect Cup. I have been coming here for many years. Unfortunately due to work changes I am unable to visit as often as I would like to. This morning my wife and I had breakfast. I had the omelette special which was amazing and my wife had a gluten free vegetarian 'Avo and Friends ' which was also amazing. Both meals arrived in a timely manner even though Peter and his team were under the pump. Old Habits has been my coffee go to for many years. There is so much more than coffee, There are plenty of food options for everyone as well as vegans and vegetarians and the gluten intolerant. If you aren't so hungry the cakes will soon change your mind, fantastic choices in the cake display. Make sure you make the time to call in for a meal or pick up a takeaway coffee. Thank you.
