Gooree Park Mudgee

On our recent trip to Mudgee we decided to do the stud tour. What a wonderful informative afternoon we had. Our host Vikki had an amazing knowledge of the thoroughbred industry having been the Gooree Park midwife for many years. The property is extensive with 12000 acres that include stables, work areas, a trial track, accommodation and beautiful countryside. Anyone looking for accommodation should consider the cottages on the property which overlook the on-site training track. Included in our tour was a wine tasting where Tania (from the cellar door) sat us under the trees with a lovely cheese board which supplement the amazing Gooree Park wines. We have been members of wine clubs over the years but Gooree Park is by far the best. Great staff… great wine… what more could you want!!

Lovely place wine manager and Vikki were excellent and the facility is awesome. Worth a visit in my opinion. They also offer amazing airbnb accommodation.

Nice wine tasting and we purchased cheese platters to compliment our tasting. Lovely afternoon. Beautiful setting.

Our hostess for wine tasting was absolutely lovely and knowledgable (sorry forgot to ask her name). We tasted mainly white wines and a couple of their reds and the wines we tasted were very palatable and reasonably priced. No pressure to purchase - although we did, and no annoying tasting fees. Looked like a lovely place to spend more time which unfortunately we didn't have.

Truly one of the most memorable experiences we have ever had. The grounds are nothing short of spectacular, and the tour given by Vikki was absolutely unforgettable - as a veteran in the industry, she regaled us with amazing stories and a personal insight into the horse industry and history of the farm. If I could give 100 stars, I would.

We give our friendly and knowledgeable hostess Jess five stars ! Thoroughly Enjoyed our wine tasting and cheese plates in the Beautiful garden whilst watching the foals frolic! Great wines - we purchased some to enjoy now and will he back for sure! Loved the big reds!

What a lovely afternoon! A group of 10 of us had a tasting, and really enjoyed our afternoon. Brendon was very knowledgeable and sociable. The wines were delicious.

Did a wine tasting here and the wines were awesome. Had to buy some to take home. Quinn was a fantastic host and had a great knowledge of wines. He was hilarious and made the experience so much better.

We arrived this morning with no booking. Not a problem, we were treated to tasting delicious wines with friendly and informative commentary. We purchased many of the ones we tasted. So glad we dropped in!

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Makes you feel welcome. Wine is tasty and moreish. Is dog friendly. Couldn't resist buying some bottles.

Jessica is the best!! Had the pleasure of a wine tasting at Gooree Park and purchased a beautiful chardonnay! Beautiful ambiance and thankful for the sunshine and heaters with the tasting being outside :)

Excellent service and great range of quality of wines to suit your budget and tastes. A couple of good wine club options too.

Stud tour was incredible. Wines and lunch was excellent

Great location, very peaceful and relaxing and makes me want to go back. The night skies here are also nice, better than any average Sydney sky.
