We stayed 4 nights here with our camper trailer & really enjoyed it. Some nice grassed sites. Lovely pool (no shade) but great for a dip. Hot showers. BYO TP as toilets often run out. Staff very friendly & helpful. There is a Kiosk with some food (pies, s/rolls, ice creams etc), other supplies & soverniers. Beautiful sunset on the beach. Dog friendly. Plenty of horses wondering around. Police were patrolling the grounds regularly too but we never had any issues.

Wow, absolutely love this hidden gem. So glad we stayed here. Beach front camp spot. So good! Amenities not great, but who cares! Look where you are! Within the indigenous missionary and feels good to support the locals. Dogs around but harmless, infact they're super beautiful 😍. 100% would stay again and again.

I can’t rate this camp site high enough. Rob and Ange are great hosts. Very clean amenities and beautiful sea views from camp sites. If you’re looking for a cheaper option to Punsand, look no further.

Booked in here for 3 nights initially and are definitely extending our stay. Peaceful, spacious, quiet, with friendly staff and tidy facilities. A great place to base yourself while exploring all Cape York has to offer. Thank you.

Awesome location on the water. Camp facilities were good (showed and toilets). Little kiosk was good for cold drinks and snacks etc. Views of the water were amazing

A hidden gem! Perched on the beach looking west for the sunset. The campground is quiet with powered and unpowered sites. The staff are lovely and help out wherever they can. Just watch the horses at night with the rubbish.

Such an amazing camp ground, right on the beach front, quite at night and hosts very welcoming. Amenities were dated but were were sufficient and lots of hot water.
And a swimming pool to cool off in.

A little way away from Bamaga and Seisia. The situation is romantic. The facilities are fine, they work. Ange, the lady from Thursday Island, is one of the warmer, kinder souls I have ever met. She is just a joy. Loyalty beach and Seisia campers report a need to secure everything at night. Not in my time at Alau Beach.
A basic set of supplies at the Kiosk, and a lovely beach with a view of the wharf at Seisia, where the all-important supply ships come in. We saw young lads spear fishing crabs successfully each evening.
I could spend a month there easily!

Great spot! Beautiful, idyllic beachfront location (of course being far north Queensland you can't swim!) With a great swimming pool. Amenities are a bit old but everything works. Nice hot showers. Lisa was very helpful and nice to chat with, very knowledgeable about the local area. Really enjoyed our stay!!!

An last minute decision to stay and it was well worth it. Beach front site, with power, and a Gazebo with water.

Great spot on the sandy beach, quiet, the odd horse roaming through. Decent road through a residential area to get there. Laundry with washing lines, shower and toilets. We had internet with our Celfi Go, worked ok most of the time. Far superior to to the neglected Punsand Bay where we previously stayed (twice) and here it was almost half the price.

What a lovely quiet camp to set up base for your top end adventure. Lisa will look after you here. Can get very windy but pick a spot with a bit of a break. Out off the 4 main caravan parks up here this is the best.
