Must see if you like to just sit and reflect and enjoy the beauty that our creator has given us. A very quick drive from Warialda. Great swimming hole if rain has come in recent times. Nothing too strenuous to get to. Plenty of bouldering challenges for the young at heart. Photos are of view from the look out at the top. Lovely place to rest and be with family and friends.

Great place to relax, enjoy the bush views and those of the incredible formed rock structures and their balancing act.

Oh and what a deep, refreshing pool to swim in - try and touch the bottom!

Free gas BBQ and public toilets, plus powered and unlisted camping spots, though we just went for a day trip.
Flies were pretty bad, though they're pretty bad everywhere right now. Fly net made a difference, as did going for a swim because they didn't follow you!

What a great place to stay. After reading the positive reviews this place matched or exceeded what people have previously said about it. We stayed 7 nights, and it was one of the best experiences on our trip. We really liked the setup of the powered sites. Bush and space behind the site to sit and relax without having other campers on top of you. There are unpowered areas as well that had some nice spots to be away from others and had a nice view of the lovely bush that this area seems to have. The rocks are a short walk from the camp sites across the suspension bridge, and we visited them every afternoon, as the sun setting on the rocks was a lovely way to end the day either from river level or from the viewing platform that provides great views. There is one combined loo and shower with a code to access and also a separate loo for men and women. All well cleaned daily. No sites have water connection nor is there a dump point. But that is not an issue. Dump point is at Warialda a short drive away if staying for a while and needing to empty the cassette. There are non-potable water taps around the place for washing dishes etc. This place is run well by the on-site caretakers, and they are both very friendly and helpful.
There are entertaining resident chooks and a peacock wandering around. We even saw an "Echidna train" one night.
This place was really peaceful, and we found it very easy to relax here. We paid $120 for the 7 nights for a powered site otherwise $20 P/N, and $15 for seniors. Great value in our minds for such a unique setting and the facilities provided. This place is a great spot to day trip to places like Inverell, Bingara and of course Warialda. And great for the dog. There are also fire pits around the place for a nice evening fire if there are no bans in place. So, BYO wood. Would stop here again given the chance. Thanks!!

A great little hidden gem! Fabulous scenery a short stroll from camp, large and hot shower and spotless amenities. Powered and unpowered sites at very reasonable rates. For the unpowered sites, better to head left past the office down by the picnic area - puts you a little further away from any barking dogs rather than the unpowered area on the right as you go in. A few km off the highway so you'll rarely hear any traffic. Quite varied bird life in the area too.

This is a "must see"! Don't go past. We visited at around 4.30pm and were amazed at the size of the rock formations. A truly beautiful place.

Very interesting place. The rocks are wonderful. A pleasant walk around the well marked paths up to the viewing platform and then around the reserve. It was also great to be able to take our dogs with us as the area is dog friendly. There is also a camping area with both powered and unpowered sites. Good clean toilets available as well as plenty of picnic tables and BBQ facilities.

Lovely campground with powered and unpowered sites, friendly staff, and beautiful natural surroundings (see photos).
Facilities include free gas BBQs and covered picnic tables, flush toilets, just one hot shower so may have to wait your turn or share with family members, and raised contained fireplaces are allowed.
There are also some interesting domestic animals roaming the place including chickens, horses and peacocks!
Very good value all round 🙂

Loved it. We would have liked to stay longer. Unfortunately, time did not permit. There is an abundance of wildlife. We just loved sitting back and watching. There are some lovely bush walks in the area

A hidden oasis indeed. Camping facilities are clean & well maintained.
The rock pool is only a 2min walk with a slight incline and decline and really is a place you must stop in to cool off or spend a few days.

Nice easy walk to the water, the rock formations are incredible. The walk to the top, a little harder, fit people it will be a breeze. Can swim there if you want, picnic areas, well sigh posted and it's FREE! Can camp there if you wanted, for a fee both powered and unpowered sites. (The water was brown due to the heavy rain a few days before)

A real surprise considering the surrounding grazing countryside. Large rocks stacked on top of each other, some look to be just teetering on the edge. There’s a short walk to the top with steps involved, walking up hills and not for those afraid of heights. A beautiful place to spend a hot day while in the water. There are tree-covered camping opportunities as well.

Absolutely stunning! This area is so beautiful and interesting. The caravan & camping area is a credit to the caretakers and the Shire.

Well worth a visit for the unusual rock formation. It has a good swimming hole but we didn't swim as the water was cloudy and you couldn't see the bottom

We enjoyed it very much, the rock formation and the track to viewing platform are very well marked. There are animals around the picnic area which add the fun.
