Confucius Palace Dumpling Restaurant

I spent my twenties in Melbourne, eating amazing dumplings in Chinatown. When I moved to Alice back in 2016, I couldn't believe my luck - some of the best dumplings I've ever had, right here in the desert! I've since moved to Darwin but have never found dumplings I like as much as Confucius Dumpling, so it was great to be back here again this week. They're not as cheap as Chinatown dumplings, but they're made fresh and full of flavour. I recommend pork and cabbage fried dumplings, and the smashed cucumber!

Food excellent - doesn't look like much but great Chinese restaurants rarely do.

Eaten in a number of times and taken away a few - prawn and chicken dumplings and the chilli chicken in particular are great, and the chilli oil of all things is very good.

This fantastic restaurant is just off the mall in Alice Springs. It is very reasonably priced, very tasty and the staff are exceptional.
In the 4 days I've been in Alice Springs I think I would happily visit this restaurant each day

Very nice place. Bit hard to find. Staff very nice and friendly. Serving was quick, I ordered pan fry dumplings (pork + mushroom) + steam rice. Everything was delicious. Atmosphere is welcoming. I recommend it to everyone who is looking for tasty dumplings!

Great little place to get very good Chinese food and delicacies.
Dumplings are delicious.
We ate the Peanut Salad, super yum.
..... We have now been back four times.... every time the food has been very good.
I ordered the “Char Siew BBQ Pork with rice & veges” Chef's special .. omg yum!

I am really happy that I can enjoy authentic Chinese food in Alice Springs, where an oasis city without so many tourists. On their table, the homemade chili sauce is available,very fragrant,can be used for dumplings or stir into steamed rice or noodle soup.This is a restaurant popular with Orientals and Westerners.

Great food and fast service. Particularly liked the vegetarian dumplings and kimchi. Staff were lovely.

Lunch at Confucius Palace, this place serves comfort food, very happy with what we ate. Simple and tasty.

Bought a couple of things to take away. DELICIOUS! we didn't wait long, staff were really nice and the food was great.

Favourite are fried dumplings and smashed cucumber.

I love this place, me and my partner come here often and get 2-3 plates to share. Our faves are the beef and leek & chicken and prawn dumplings. I would LOVE for them to do catering one day (i.e. birthday parties). Super delicious.

Great food and lots of choice, including for vegetarian. Lovely service and orders came out quickly. BYO, but $2.50 per person corkage. It's a nice place in a lane way just off the mall. Indoor and outdoor spaces.

This place is fantastic. Lovely family and some genuinely authentic dishes from Shanghai, Sichuan and Beijing. We had the Hainan Chicken Rice and it was really really good. That chili and garlic sauce was intense in the best way. Thanks guys for being here in Alice Springs.

This place is an absolute gem. Authentic Chinese, homemade dumplings, friendly staff and seriously the best meal I’ve had in a very long time. We are here for a few days and plan to eat here again for sure!

Tasty dumplings and not too expensive. Perfect place to re-fuel during the day. It's BYO which is nice, but bottle shops in Alice don't seem to open until after 2pm.

Cheery and friendly owners and a relaxed environment. Ordered the Wonton soup, pan fried pork & cabbage dumplings and some tea. Everything was fantastic, especially enjoyed the soup which was perfectly balanced and lightly flavoured.

Absolutely amazing! Me and my band mates are from Darwin and we would kill to have this great restaurant in Darwin. Hands down the BEST AND REAL CHINESE FOOD IVE EVER HAD.

This place is great. The most friendly service and the best dumplings you will ever eat. Definitely recommend coming here if you love to eat Asian food.

This place is well worth the visit. If you like Chinese and dumplings you are going to love their food. The mushroom pork dumplings are amazing. Makes my hungry just thinking about it.
