Port Admiral Hotel

We had our Christmas end of year dinner here and it was great. Overall I'm pleased and we will likely be back next year.
The room we were put in was nice and quiet, which is important for us as we have a few neurodivergent members who are overstimulated by chatter. I also enjoyed the music that was playing. The breeze coming in from the balcony was lovely.
The food was tasty, everyone was happy with their meal, though my steak was a little dry, I didn't mind.
The server was lovely and had a good memory with our drinks and meals.

The first time we went, the margaritas were insanely good.
The next time, we decided to try something different & eat, we were not disappointed!
The food was superbly fresh, really nicely cooked & presented. Entrees we enjoyed, Fried Dumplings, beautifully plump & delicious 😋
Outdoor dining, under expansive cover, is well worth the trip.
Don't miss out because it's gluten-free. You'd never know. It's just that good.

We enjoyed our dinner out. Wife have recently been declared gluten and lactose free was relaxed knowing she could have anything on the menu. She doesn’t normally eat fish out, but demolished that plus half my prawns too. Side salad dressing was
a sweet mustard rather than vinaigrette which was truly appreciated. Truly appreciated the meal, the happy service, and even excellent drinks pricing. Highly commend. Kudos to all staff for looking after us on the night!

Number 1 crumbed and battered fish. Number 2 Mac and cheese balls! So many amazing items on this menu if you’re gluten free. I was the only coeliac in a party of 7 and we all very much enjoyed our meals.
Absolutely a must when you are in Port Adelaide. 100% recommend.

We had dinner with friends. Good menu options,something for everyone.
The chicken wings were great, crispy, the Salt and Pepper Squid was tender,the kids menu had good kid friendly options. The kids shared GF waffles and sticky date brownies-not a crumb left on the plate!
Stress free experience , especially being told "everything is gluten free" whenever asked if it's GF (just because we are so used to always having to ask)
We sat outside which was a little noisy as on a fairly busy road

Loved it and so happy that it was 100% gluten free menu. Well done for having the courage and the compassion so many others don't have by making your menu 100% gluten free.
The meal was fabulous, the price really good, the venue was clean and quiet. made our birthday celebration fabulous. thank you.

We had a booking on Friday night it was a busy night for the Admiral. As soon as we got there, they told us it may take longer than normal. They were very nice and made sure multiple times that we were ok and apologised. It was fine with us. I have to say the team on that night was excellent. Thank you for the complimentary garlic bread and drinks. The food was amazing as always. Thank you for another great night. We will be back soon.

Super impressed... The food was delicious, best pub feed in a long time. The GF only menu makes it such a great option for those who need it, knowing you can have anything on the menu and it's safe to eat - what a choice compared to the small lists available from other pubs! The star though, was Shay. He looked after us super well! He was so energetic, very friendly and just an around delight - it's so rare to find someone who simply wants to genuinely make sure you enjoy your night out, an absolute star and a keeper! Kudos Shay!

We get very excited about finding a fully gluten free venue as my partner is gluten intolerant. And this one did not disappoint! Every meal was absolutely amazing. Despite how busy they were, the meals came out in a very reasonable time. Portion sizes are also very decent!

Huge shoutout to our waitress Ann. She was incredible. She was so lovely, funny, welcoming and helpful. Just an all round amazing lady. She made the night even more great. 10/10 for Ann. But also 10/10 for everything overall. Will definitely be back. Thank you guys :)

Staff were very friendly & made our time there most enjoyable.
Can't wait to return to try more from their extensive menu, especially the shared meals.

Table for 2 dinning upstairs was exceptional including staff and Fiona's service was excellent. Food and wine 🍷 😋 five stars 🌟 yes, will most certainly dine again 😊

Third time coming to the admiral since the reopening and it's been a fantastic experience everytime.
Venue has that retro port feel to it, staff are fantastic and accommodating and the food is absolutely spot on everytime. Highly recommend the chicken schnitzels 👌

A lovely and relaxing pub to take anyone of any age. The large and gluten-free menu is well-priced and the serves are generous and beautifully cooked. The staff are warm and friendly and each of the dining areas have character and atmosphere.

We booked for a baby shower and their room hire and catering was reasonably priced and the food was delicious. The team did a great job with helping us out despite some minor hiccups due to a staffing change. We even stayed for dinner afterwards.

Port Admiral has recently reopened and have new management. A completely gluten-free menu with plenty of DFO and Vegan options. New beers on tap and spirits so there's something new for everyone to try, along with a couple of classics (Cooper's, west end, etc).

I ordered a mushroom burger - plenty of roast veggies and tasted stunning. They did forget the cheese which was a little disappointing, but I'll mark it down to teething issues. Bun was soft, tasty, and fluffy. - $24
Arancini balls were crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. Can't go wrong! - $18
Parmi was a little small for pricing but I understand that it's also a specialist crumb. The chicken was thick and moist, and the cheese melted perfectly but I found the tomato sauce was sweet to taste (maybe a lot of tomato paste?)- $27

Chips were a definite favourite of mine and reminded me of a classic fish & chip store.

The service was impeccable and everyone was absolutely lovely!
Looking forward to see what they do next and how they will navigate the Port Adelaide market!

The food was amazing! I’m not GF but had a family member with us that was. So we thought why not give it a go! We had the a wide range of dishes between the group. There was not 1 person who could say something bad about their meal! The food was very generous portions too! The staff were lovely and food came out quite fast. Will definitely be back!

Great gluten free pub, nicely renovated with an amazing menu catering for the whole family, looked after the birthday girl too! So good to have another all gluten free pub, now in the Western suburbs

Great hotel vibe, nice options on tap, and 100% gluten free coeliac approved menu. I ate so many things, best schnitzel in a long time. Was so good not having to worry about food, and gf beer in tap, outstanding. Staff were quick to address any issues, and copy little outside area that was great for an intimate dining experience. 5 out of 7 perfect score. Will definitely be coming back.

Our group dined upstairs. The walls were adorned with various canvas paintings. Decor and atmosphere retro casual.
We had complete table service throughout the few hours spent here. The staff were very relaxed with a casual vibe, polite and friendly. The meal was great.
A lovely experience here.
